Oh really? And what was he then? A tyrant only seeking power? Zarkon 2.0? Yeah, he got crazy in the rift (which is questionable on its own). But he kept the Galra empire together and in check. He didn’t even want to fight Voltron. He was reaching out for diplomacy, only to be shoved away again.

What kind of bullshit is this? He kept the empire together and in one piece. He did his best to protect that peace. Sure, there was the Altean colony, but we didn’t even get to hear his side of the story, because Paladins didn’t let him.
