14. Who is an author that inspires you?

//Could've sworn I answered this before, and I was unsure about that at the time...and honestly I'm STILL unsure about who I'm inspired by. I wish I could say Xiran Jay Zhao, but uh, I actually haven't read their books yet. I only enjoyed their video reviews on various movies, such as Mulan (both Disney versions) and Turning Red.

//I'm excited to try to read Zachary Ying though! (not ready to jump into Iron Widow since it covers subjects I'm not comfy with yet and uh...well I haven't read in forever so I wanna start off easy ok?)

//I think similar levels of excitement...? I don't know like, openness to communicate is something I'd really like these days. Like let us scream over our muses together and figure out where they do stuff and maybe just like...plot out that things happen or will happen. Some days you don't feel like writing but just wanna connect, ya?

//Yo just give me characters singing their theme song or ANY SONG and I'm hooked. I'm quite aware Japan does this for a lot of their animated properties, but like...it's fun when characters aren't exactly...proficient at singing too!

Look, there’s nothing more depressing than making a starter, big or small, and having no one reply to it. It just sits there, empty, unused, unloved. If it happens enough the role player will stop posting open starters all together, defaulting instead to people who they know will answer them for sure. Or in some extreme cases leave the community. 

Open starters are open for a reason. Any one of my followers can answer them hours, days, weeks, heck even months after they’ve been posted. That’s why they’re tagged open.

So please, if you ever, ever, see a starter post tagged open that looks interesting to you RESPOND TO IT! 

You’re not going to annoy me, in fact you will make my day. You’re not going to see it but I’m probably going to do a little happy dance in my seat, or grin like an idiot, or make high pitched squeaky noises, or all of the above, because you, yes you, responded to the starter I posted.

[There’s apparently a legend about this Mii in khakis and shades who kicks everyone’s butt in bowling. I haven’t seen this character myself, but I wonder if I’ll see him in action in any sports.]
