I haven’t been on Tumblr in years.

But I’ve logged back on just to ask anyone that is still following me, please could I ask that you could make dua for my mother and my grandmother. Both are suffering with terminal diseases.

If you are lucky to still have your loved ones, please do not waste another minute or second, tell them you love them.

I will make dua for you too.

I was looking at my calender and noticed how quickly time has flown. We are well into 2014 and the month of Ramadan commences towards the end of next month (In Shaa Allah).

I have fond memories of last year’s Ramadan, everything and everyone is so much more at peace during the blessed month. I feel that the ummah is elevated and strengthened. It’s a shame we can’t say the same for the other 11 months.

The month of Ramadan allows us to learn more about our beautiful religion, devote our time to worship and think less of the materialism in this world. It’s a time where we connect and empathise with the destitute and suffering. Perform acts of kindness to all around us and endeavour to promote peace and compassion in the world which we inhabit. Trying to comprehend that nearly a quarter of the world’s population will be partaking in the holy month of Ramadan brings tears to my eyes.

Alhamdulillah for allowing me to see another year.
