Judas trailed off, shutting his eyes and straightening out his ears to steady his breathing and focus. It seemed as though forever would pass — It took effort to change into larger species.

Upon the ground in front of the kid stood a quadrupedal bat creature on four hand-like paws, and two spreading bat wings of monumental span. Four beady eyes stared into the other. All in all, he was about the size of a lion.

“Pretty neat, right? You can still keep me if you have food and a bed... Oh! And if you bring me shiny things. Shiny things are good.”

I'm adding it to my Judas canon that he has absolutely found and read a warrior cats book. You can't stop me. He's read it. He's a warrior cats fan. He's read Into the Wild and Graypaw/Graystripe is his favorite.

Her face contorted into different expressions of confusion with each question, though she didn’t let go of the cat, confusion only making her  hold on more tightly as she tried to get some grip of what was actually happening. She lifted the cat a little further in the air, looking underneath, trying to see if she could see something attached to her, a microphone, a little speaker or player. There was nothing. Or was someone throwing their voice? She looked around, seeing no one.

“But how is this possible?” She gasped, finally dropping the cat onto the table.

The entire time Naomi squirmed, nearly breathless with fright at the implications of what she'd just done. She'd spoken to a human! Now she'd be treated like a freak, or kicked, or thrown, or worse!

She landed on all fours, turning around and around as she desperately tried to explain, "Don't hurt me, okay?! I was a human!!! I'm- I'm still a human inside, I think! I'm just a kid! Don't hurt me! I was just exploring! I didn't mean anything by it!"

She was working herself into quite the frenzy to be heard.

Persian stands to the front, leading Arcanine onward when she halts, dark eyes locking on the jolteon. An Eevee evolution... She's not spotted one in some time. Sure, the occasional Eevee came scampering through the land, but they were few and far between.

"Not here to beat you up," She grunts. "But... You are on our territory."

Arcanine holds a more softened look, sympathetic and warmed. "What happened to you?"
