Headcanon Time - Bi- Multilingual Hiro and Tadashi
Stemming from Hiro’s cute scribbling in his journal. I cropped it, but he asks, “Why is English so hard?” That really stood out to me as something someone who was enhancing their skills in a second (or third or fourth or even more!) language. So I couldn’t help but think that Hiro’s and Tadashi’s parents them both Japanese first (because their papa loves his heritage and their mama loves learning languages and was secretly an anime fanatic in her teens) and then English soon after.
Tadashi’s speech flows seamlessly between the languages (when he’s getting super excited, he’d switch to his primary language and the Nerd Crew would all giggle because he doesn’t even know it!) Honey Lemon just loves the way he speaks in Japanese and endeavors to add that language to her impressive list of acquired languages.
(“He’s gone bot-fighting again! I can’t believe that -! Of all the irresponsible -! Can’t he just stay put!”
“Dude! No one knows what you’re saying! But those are some wicked sweet sounds. Got a sick rhythm to it!”
“I do! Oh, Tadashi! Why don’t you just bring him to school with you? I’m sure he’ll love it!”
“Fat chance he’ll ever set foot near this ‘Nerd School’, as he calls it.”
“Oh, hate to break it to him, but he’s a bigger nerd than all of us combined.”)
Hiro - despite being a genius of epic proportions - has a slightly harder time getting the hang of languages. The more complex material is actually easier than the basics for him. The difference between “they’re, there, and their” and how “lead” and “lead” have totally different meanings always trip him up.

Hiro loves making his brother melt. Nipping and licking his neck, blowing on his ears, trailing his fingers along the goosebumps that rise all along his arms and thighs and just listening to him pant and whimper in Japanese.
Makes for especially sexy dirty talk. Hiro loves whatever Tadashi says in any language, but it’s so hot to feel him shudder and see him bite his lip when Hiro coos in his ear, “Nii-san~”
