Ever since I took part in 🐻OTABESCENCE 🐻last year, I thought it would have been great if I could return the favour and create an English version of the anthology ✨

When I received the confirmation that I’ll have a table at the London MCM Comic Con on the last weekend of October (25-26-27), I thought “This is a sign!” ✨

I got in touch with one of the organisers of Otabescence (Matsuo) and I proposed them the idea. They forwarded it to the Japanese artists who were part of the original project, and some of them agreed to join! ✨

So here we humbly present you: 

BEKASTAN is a comic zine anthology & collaboration between Japanese & overseas artists celebrating the birthday and the adolescence of Otabek Altin, the Hero of Kazakhstan! 🇰🇿 ⛸️✨

16 Artists (12 Japanese + 4 overseas)

14 Comics (translated in English with the combined effort of Matsuo @belugachop & @quadruple-axel + edit, lettering and layout by @ainitsuite-agape)

Size: A5 (148 × 210 mm / 5.83 × 8.27 in) ca. 40 pages, perfect bound

Pre-orders are now open on my store for my second Otayuri R18 doujin, ‘Office Hours’, a college AU! Pre-orders will run until the 30th, and should be shipped sometime around mid to late July. The doujins are 48 pages, B5 size, and perfect bound, and will cost $20 dollars (I do ship internationally!)

Thank you so much! That’s so sweet of you! I currently don’t have commissions open, I was hoping to reopen them soon but other deadlines and things have piled up for me at the moment so I never got around to reopening them. Hopefully I can soon though once I feel I have a little extra time so I can properly devote to doing commissions well

About how long does it take to make each of your artworks?

It really varies on piece to piece! Some I can do in like 3-4 hours, I think most take take about 6-8, and some can take me a day, lol. It really depends on how complex it is, what my level of focus is (not getting distracted by youtube lol), and just my general headspace (some days things just work the first time, some it’s like pulling teeth but eventually I can make it work!) I feel I’m on the slower side for an artist tbh lol
