speaking of vampire and horror media, as far as anime goes my personal favorite is shiki and i feel like it doesnt get enough recognition for all the shit it had going on. yes its very slow at first but its also really intriguing and also really fucking good at building up literally an entire village to be the main characters that youre rooting for against these evil scary monsters, only to make you realize the people youre rooting for are monsters as well and THAT was the true horror of shiki. also the first op rocked. if you wanna watch something about anime vampires that isnt a reverse harem shoujo or an action shounen series go watch shiki. fair warning it gets pretty fucked up especially if you watch the ovas
