I'm high key concerned about a death this season. Like I think the kids are all (probably) safe, but the older teens I worry about. Especially Steve, after that whole bit about Dustin idolising him, I'm worried its leading to an end for the best babysitter. I really love the relationships between older and younger siblings (bio or not) in this show, Jonathan and Will, Lucas and Erica, Steve and Dustin, Nancy and Mike, I just want them all to be happy ;_;

I think Henry helped El because maybe he felt a connection to her, like they were both outcasts who bad been bullied and their powers underestimated. It seems like he was fully ready to help her escape without asking her to remove the chip. But at the same time, you'd think he wouldn't have gone after the small kids who were also different and social outcasts as well. I would have thought he'd have spared them too.
i think he did feel a connection with her and he knew el would be great to have by his side but i think he knew he could continue to manipulate her and have her be his little puppet… or so he thought. however, el knew better and wasn’t gonna be manipulated or tricked. especially after she saw what he did to the others. it blows my mind when i remember that el was only 8 years old at the time all this took place.
