God I'm such a nerd for being able to recognize every character depicted here in this panel from the most recent Vox Machina Origins comic.
On the right is of course the halfling Seeker Assum Emring, clearly depicted by his tattoo, and the dragonborn Guardian Tofor Brotoras.
The middle is of course Sir Gregory Fince, who is nearly identical to his depiction in The Legend of Vox Machina.
On the left facing away towards Fince is Arbiter Brom Goldhand, I can tell because it matches his description as a tall human man with dark hair and an unshaven square chin.
And in red is Hearthmaker Theadorn Krazz. He's probably one of the most obscure Council members to the fandom since his only appearance was in the original Tal'Dorei Campaign Setting, where he was simply described as "an old dwarf with gray hair".
This comic is the first time Tofor, Brom and Theadorn have been officially depicted, and as far as I’m aware, nobody’s drawn any fan art of Brom or Theadorn either.
Despite all the VERY exciting things happening last week, this one was a hard call list to draw up. But we did it, Critters: 42 items, all of which are listed below the cut, many of which are pictured in the example above, go to BingoBaker at this link to get your own shuffled card. Lots of notes today:
"Xandis successfully fleeces someone" means he successfully convinces someone he's being serious when he's not.
"narrow down Armand's location" generally means we have a specific idea of where he is beyond "in that general direction". Like, looking for a specific building or something here.
"new item stolen" means that someone in the party stole an item nobody in the party previously owned.
"Imogen brings up Chet's money" is the recurring thing where she tries to bring attention to the fact that he stole the money from Vali and never told anyone.
Detect Thoughts is NOT the same as Open Mind, the ability Imogen does where she needs to make a save.
Telepathic Speech is NOT the same as Open Mind, Detect Thoughts, Message, or Sending.
Greymoore State Home or the Green Seekers directly appearing DOES make their mention squares legal even though the square does not say "appearance".
Only one member of the Nobodies (who isn't Ashton) or Paragon's Call needs to appear to make their squares legal.
Generally, I am trying to post these bingo cards earlier than I have been—and I've been successful this week! If you've become used to me posting them shortly before the episode, you might find it helpful to look in my "#CritRole bingo" tag. I'll be adding a little link to that tag in my blog's navigation to help you out.
We don't have the main campaign next week, but we will have Exandria Unlimited: Calamity! I'm very excited about it, and I WILL be making bingo cards. So, stay tuned for that.
One piece of Avatar lore I don't quite believe is that most avatars don't learn they're the avatar until they're told on their 16th birthday.
like, POV you're some Earth Kingdom kid who knows the previous Water Tribe avatar died suspiciously close to the time you were born. You CANNOT tell me that that entire class-year of starry bright-eyed children doesn't spend every waking moment trying to prove they're the avatar. "Shut up Hang Lee you're not the avatar I'M the avatar. That stream just moved toward me." "Nuh-uh a fish did that and Avatar Tepek died on the summer solstice and YOU'RE a winter baby." "All the seasons are opposite in the water tribe Hang Lee!" "Nuh-uh"
You're 8 years old with all your other 8-year-old friends at your first day of How To Throw A Rock Class you CANNOT tell me that every kid present doesn't waste half the class trying to catch grass on fire with all the sincerity and conviction of a gas station hopeful snagging a mega-millions lotto ticket with their Mars bar and $30 gas fill-up.
remember when the porn ban was happening and everyone was moving to different sites and someone made a forum called tumblr 2 and tumblr sent a cease and desist signed by david karp with the shittiest elementary school cursive signature youve ever seen bc i think abt that a lot
