if Mattel is involved in the Margie Robbie ‘Barbie’ movie, which i assume they are, then they’re the reason why Aqua’s ‘Barbie Girl’ song won’t b in the movie, Mattel has major beef w/ the song and even took Aqua to court over it in the 90s, unsuccessfully

i imagine it was probably a contractual stipulation when they allowed them to use the Barbie IP for the movie

Lila’s backstory feels like a quick fix to the backlash but maybe it was intended from the start and they just executed it poorly idk

I’d like to see a chart of the 30 unique head sculpts tho

I do really like this series overall, it has a lot of unique dolls and I hope they can keep the ball rolling
