I could barley breathe as I sat against the wall directly across from their hospital room door. I watched as the doctor who basically raised Y/N stepped away from them. All of the nurses following. What the hell?

Doctor Hissana walked out of their room, crouching in front of me. I looked away as tears spilled down my eyes. All of the nurses were leaving now. Please tell me their not..

“Do you really want to be seen as the number one hero who’s crying?” Hissana moved her head to look at my eyes. I honestly couldn’t care if I was seen crying. Most people have seen me cry anyway. “Y/N’s okay. Well, they’re alive.”

“What does that mean?” I moved to face back towards their door. Lack of anything else to calm my nerves, I studied the wooded design while waiting to Hissana to form words. My eyes moved towards the window, looking at Y/N through the blinds. My heart aches seeing them hurt. It’s like a twisted turn on the way my heart soars when they laugh. Or smile. Or when they call m- what’s that sound?

Hissana’s eyes went wide as she sprung up and ran into the room behind her. Nurses following suit.

Y/N..

Don’t leave me.

My heart can’t soar for anyone other than you.

Nothing else can hurt me like seeing your pain does.
