Also, here's a random thought I had that might amuse you:

I saw a post where someone called Iroha a flat earther, which made me imagine the entire class going insane and someone paying Syobai to work together with Yuri to explain (in-depth) to Iroha why it isn't.

I've been okay. Haven't been the best, but, I could be worse. Maybe a consistent six, mentally. Seven, sometimes.

Yuri, doing as he always does: going on and on about his stories travelling across the globe for financial reasons involving the company he's soon to inherit.

And as always, Iroha's one girl who sits and listens when he gets to the exciting parts. She'll fall asleep here and there, but really does try to pay attention when he's actually got something cool to say.

As Yuri got to blabbing about something boring again, Iroha decided to just---butt in real fast before he really got going, and piped up with:

"Oooh! Have you ever been to the edge of the world!?"

"---And I believe that's when I- ...

... I'm. Sorry? I don't mean to be impolite, but did you just say the... edge of the world...?"

"Yeah!! The end of it, where the water spills over and you can see out in space and stuff! It'd be so cool to go there!!"

Yuri, fighting his automatic, oh-so-charming response of 'Then I'll take you there on our wedding day!~' cleared his throat.

"... I'm not questioning you in the slightest, dear, but whyever do you think the world has an edge?"

"I used to look at maps a lot. I had to copy, fix, and make a lot of them from memory when I was a kid. And they're all flat!"

God almighty, damn that adorable smile of hers.

What to do, what to do...

Sure, she may be a bit dense, but he can't just let her think that the globe, well- isn't a damn globe.

He pulled his phone out of his back pocket and started sifting through the contacts. "Well. I certainly haven't been there, but maybe someone else who travels a lot has."

He could've sworn that girl was beaming as he dialed up the number to one burner phone or another, and she almost started vibrating when the call went through.

"The fuck've I told you about calling me through the fuckin' school, puffball?"

"I'm only calling you because it's not for me, you walking ashtray. I'm here with my adorable little Iroha, and she really wanted to know if you have ever been to the edge of the world."

A slow, raspy siiiiiggggghhh came through the phone.

"... You didn' call me for this shit."

"Yes, I did. I'm not happy about it either, trust me."

"Whatever. That dumbass wants an answer? Listen up, airhead:

If the world had an edge, people like this piece of shit would've turned it into a theme park and made billions off it already from tourism alone. It's a fucking circle."

"What?? But what about the-"

Yuri nearly dropped the phone sputtering. "PST- Piece of shit-!? Like you're one to talk, you-"

Yuri cut himself off at the sound of Iroha... giggling. His near yell died down into a slightly irritated huff in an instant.

"Wha- Is this funny to you?"

"I know he's lying, but your face getting red really fast is kinda funny."

"My face getting...?" He mumbled offhanded little comments about how his face isn't really red, it just looks that way due to his hair color---he's a man, he doesn't get flustered that easy---

No. He's not doing that. Let her say what she wants, Yuri, she must be right if it made her laugh.

So, reluctantly, he leaned back into the receiver and muttered: "Listen, you bastard, help me put this to her gently, and I'll pay you whatever you want. I'm not ready to have this conversation by myself."

"... I've got a base charge, and a rate per five minutes that increases exponentially the more this pisses me off. 'N I feel like this'll piss me off a lot."

"You little... Whatever, I don't care what it is, just get here as soon as you can."

I think i'm just gonna use this dead account to lurk and talk ab yuri lmfao, anyways.

Yuri's hatred towards men doesn't have anything to do with his kidnappings actually! His hatred towards them is in fact because he's incredibly devoted to women ever since a young age, because his father groomed him to not only grow up to be an astronaut, but grow up with the mindset that he *must* live his life for the ladies.

In turn that made Yuri think he was superior to any other man because of this devotion, and that he "broke the pattern of an ordinary man" as LINUJ actually put it.

It's not exactly the same situation as tenko tbh but i'm not gonna. drag this out for longer whoops..👉👈

Also there's a very high chance homophobia took a part in this because yuri grew up in russia in like the fucking 80's/90's but that's just headcannon territory so😸

It's not really stated anywhere. He's just extremely devoted to women. But I think it's got something to do with him being kidnapped constantly or maybe he was taught to always protect women growing up (like Tenko was)
