I can't celebrate it today because I'm out of town but when I get back I will
Nathan: often i am anxious for no reason or several reasons
I JUST WANT TO SAY THAT YOUR HUNS (I JUST LOVE THE TWINS ๐), ESPECIALLY MULAN โก SHAN YU, AND THEIR KIDS ART.
I have always liked the Huns better than Hans. I also loved the Mulan x Shan Yu pairing, because honestly this world need more art that ships these two ๐ข๐ฅบ
As for my question ๐
I have some ideas for Shan yu โก Mulan family
1. I was thinking a Mother and Daughter bonding (maybe sword fighting *I feel like Tseteg aspires to become a great female warrior just like her mom*)
2. Mulan as a Hun
3. Mulan with her two precious boys, or with all of her kids
I REALLY LOVE YOUR ART, MAY IT BE YOUR PRINCESSES OR VILLAIN ART, I LOVE THEM EQUALLY, you are a very talented artist โคโคโค๐ฅฐ
For the bingo, maybe...Electra! Ofc :D
And also maybe...Aelina if ocs are allowed
Electra!!
Aelina!!
Maybe odd, but what do you think Munk looks like as a human? Hair style, clothing, and all.
The answer to that is pretty simple actually: He looks very much like this INCREDIBLE fanart from @matiiiih.
Please go REBLOG it from them because it deserves 8 million notes I've reblogged it so many times and I will reblog it so many more!!!
The first time I saw it I literally lost my mind haha like yes Yes that's him. Handsome, prematurely graying, well groomed, wears reading glasses when it gets late and his eyes get tired. I could stare at this fanart forever like it's so much him mwah. (And while we're here lets talk about the gorgeous Deme and Jemima designs too!! They both look amazing.) I think this is the best piece of fanart to be made ever actually so thank you so much for blessing us all with it.
I made a post before about how Munk would dress as well, I'll screenshot it here and also here's the link to reblog it.
But yeah. That. That's my mans
One Dress a Week Challenge
May: Gold & Silver
Elizabeth / Cate Blanchett as Elizabeth I
Although this movie's costumes were known for being loose interpretations of historical styles rather than painstakingly accurate, they did do quite a faithful recreation of Elizabeth's actual coronation gown, right down to the tassels on the closure! The thing that is surprising is that it's just one of her regular dresses that she wears to a dance earlier in the film. I looked up the date of Elizabeth I's actual coronation, and it was two months after the death of Mary, so she had ample time to have a new gown made for the occasion.
The dress looks far less grand without the accompanying ruff, jewelry, and ermine-edged cloak. In fact, I don't think I even registered that it was the same garment on first viewing.
Iโm probably being irritating with my questions which Iโm sorry for but Iโll give it a go
1. Whoโs your favorite version of Munkustrap? This goes for either shows or films (Michael Gruber is my personal favorite)
2. You mentioned that Munk and Demeter arenโt completely apposed to having more kittens but would they ever adopt a kitten? Say they found a orphan on the streets
Not annoying at all!!
Michael Gruber is def my #1 and always will be. His voice, his physicality and grace, and the way he plays Munk so easily kind but still authoritative and imposing when he needs to be is such a clean perfect balance. He's magnetizing. I don't think many come close to embodying Munk for me the way he does. Not to mention he has the best Munk design hands down. He is the closest it comes to my kin version of Munk in all aspects, so obvs he'd be my favorite :> I do like a few other Munks out there, but Gruberstrap will always be my #1.
And considering Munk technically adopted Jemima by becoming her step father, they would absolutely be open to adopting! Traditionally lost kittens end up belonging to the tribe as a whole a little bit, but of course one or two adult cats in particular will end up feeling a bond towards the new kitten and become its "primary" caretakers. Munk and Deme would def allow a stray kitten into their hearts & into their den. โก
On May 26, 1998, David Hasselhoff donned the famous Marvel eye patch to become Nick Fury: Agent of Shield. Fury was brought out of retirement by S.H.I.E.L.D. to battle HYDRA, who was in possession of a deadly virus. ("Nick Fury: Agent of Shield", TV Movie, Event)
Can you complain about the Heathcliff in the 1998 version? I watched that movie several years ago and liked it, but I would like to hear the details that I might have missed. If I recall correctly Heathcliff was a bit too sexual and aggressive with Catherine and maybe a bit too humorless? I remember liking his manipulation of Isabella and Younger Catherine though.
Thatโs pretty much it, actually. I kept getting this idea of Catherine being a fairly well-adjusted woman who unfortunately found herself entangled with this violent possessive dude, and I mean, he is possessive, but the obsession is mutual and I just didnโt get it here. There's the scene in which he kisses her passionately right before Edgar's visit which rubbed me so wrong, I read it almost as her feeling physically attracted to him, but being repulsed by him as a person, which is. wrong wrong wrong.
To be fair, though, I found him much better after his return; the scene of their last meeting is excellent in itself (but falls short because of what came before), but he still gave me the impression of a very irrational man, which I think he's not, at least and/or especially not in the second half (I'm thinking at how he runs after Cathy 2 mistaking her for Catherine's ghost, when in the novel he immediately recognizes her and puts the manipulation machine in motion). It may also be that I really didn't dig the acting, so maybe I wouldn't have liked whatever interpretation of the character they could have gone with.
Quick chibi sketch of Demeter and Munkustrap. Just thought of my Bad Girl, Good Boy Au, Demeter can be a bit forward while Munkustrap is very shy๐
