Book asks!
1. book you’ve reread the most times
There’s a chance it might be Harry Potter. 😬 but I’m actually really hoping it’s Tamora Pierce’s Circle of Magic series. It’s probably close but CoM might come out ahead.
2. top 5 books of all time
- Lord of the Rings (just finished it again today, it’s normal to cry for the last 100 pages or so, right?) (but also tied with The Silmarillion as like…one whole complete story)
- American Gods
- Gideon the Ninth (perilous to put an in-progress series on here but even if the series doesn’t stick the landing, god I love the first two books so much)
- When Breath Becomes Air (the one book I think literally everyone should read, when they’re ready for it)
- I gotta give the last spot to Circle of Magic. They may be middle grade/YA fantasy but I reread them last year and they really hold up
19. most disliked popular books
Ok some of this will be petty. I’m sorry the chokehold that Sarah J Maas has on people… I can’t. Will never. Every time I’m almost tempted to see what everyone’s on about I read the summary and an except and nope outta there.
I cannot get myself through HP Lovecraft. Idk how popular this really is nowadays but he’s obviously a big figure in horror and I hate his prose so much. Like not even getting into how racist he was, that’s obviously a big deal but also the writing is not for me. Couldn’t get more than 5 pages in.
My dislike of Patrick Rothfuss grows every year and I still see The Name of the Wind recced everywhere. Ok that one was ok but the second was so bad and the third will never exist. My bitterness grows.
In terms of Star Wars books, everyone raves about Lost Stars and when I finally read it for the Star Wars book club in February, it was really mediocre. I don’t get what everyone sees in it. It was not good.

I don't know what to think about the situation with the Flyers back in Season 1.
One one hand I can understand Jeroen/Magnus being pissed. ( That doesn't mean they had to bribe that fortune teller later). I mean Mara asked them to do it. And it seemed like they worked pretty hard on it. I mean I would be mad too, if on the last minute they were like. " Oh no sorry. I don't need it."
On the other hand I can understand Mara. I mean they had to take their back then boyfriend flyers. Eventhough I must agree with Jeroen. I don't believe they did it themselves.
