Okay... Thinking about GerEng omegaverse again where Arthur is a dominant omega who likes to top and Ludwig is a submissive alpha who likes to bottom.
So Ludwig can not find a partner. He only attracts omegas and well... All the omegas Lud has met have not at all matched his sexual desires (insert we're both bottoms meme here). At this point he's basically given up on finding a partner that would suit him.
Then Francis catches wind of Ludwig's preferences in the bedroom and has a solution. Francis childhood friend Arthur is an omega, but has never acted like one, especially when it comes to sex. So Francis decides that maybe this would be the perfect match for Ludwig.
Arthur isn't too pleased with the idea because he has a wary trust of alphas but he knows Francis knows him and he's curious to meet an alpha who's actually willing to submit. As soon as Arthur sees Ludwig he completely doubts Lud's story. Ludwig is like the stereotypical alpha, tall, muscular, intense eyes. Handsome sure, but Arthur knows better then to fall for a pretty face.
But he still accepts Ludwig's invite for drinks. For Francis's sake because he knew the Frenchman wouldn't get off his back if he didn't at least give Ludwig a chance. It’s awkward, tense, Arthur is snappy and Ludwig doesn’t know how to react. Then...as cliché as this is going to be...Arthur goes into an early heat.
Ludwig panics at first, but is quick to get Arthur out of the bar. Arthur is trying to pull away because he’s not about to get jumped by an alpha (again). Ludwig doesn’t want to let go because he knows how woozy and unsteady on their feet omegas in heat can be, but Arthur is persistent and the last thing Ludwig wants to do is force himself onto Arthur so he lets go. Arthur staggers forward before his legs gave way and Ludwig had to catch him and carrying him to safety. He carries Arthur to his apartment (because Ludwig can’t get Arthur to tell him where he lives), only stopping to take his own suppressant when Arthur’s pheromones start becoming too much. He gets Arthur to his apartment safely and locks him in his bedroom, apologizing for it all.
Ludwig calls Francis because 1) He’s Arthur’s best friend and thus would know where Arthur lives and what to do and 2) Francis was a beta and thus wouldn’t be as affected by Arthur’s pheromones.
Francis figures it’s better if Arthur stays at Ludwig’s apartment, worrying about removing him from the safety of indoors. Ludwig is happy to help anyway he can.
So Francis brings over some of Arthur’s toys to keep Arthur busy, Ludwig spends most of his time outside of his apartment, only coming in to sleep and check to make sure Arthur is okay. And after almost a week, Arthur’s heat passes.
Arthur awakes, only remembering bits and pieces, but fully remembering how Ludwig took care of him and was able to control himself. He finds the sheets and room a mess and figures the least he could do was clean up after himself (after all, he basically stole Ludwig’s room). He comes out to find Ludwig fast asleep on the couch. Arthur finds him almost cute, but quickly pushes that idea down. After finishing cleaning Ludwig’s room, Arthur decides he should probably also cook Ludwig breakfast as an apology for imposing. Unfortunately, Arthur can’t cook so Ludwig is awakened to a smoke alarm.
Arthur apologizes for the rude awaken and taking over Ludwig’s bedroom as well as thanks him for all his help. Ludwig says it’s nothing. Arthur won’t take that and says that he’ll buy him breakfast and so the two go out.
And they fall in love!
