people underestimate the weight of just living as a marginalized person, and how much it asks of you. it’s not just explicit discrimination or harm. it’s the unseen cost of working against invisible pressures every day just to survive. how life demands you to be resilient by default to get by.

i don’t want to be resilient anymore. i just want to be able to breathe, to be able to relax. to not have to ask anymore of this mind and body, because it deserves peace. i just want the peace of safety, security, and rest, without the constant fight to try and find and maintain it.

i am not a huge fan of avx and i do not think of it often BUT there is something compelling to me in emma being a phoenix host. like. the ways emma sometimes adopts jean’s appearance when interacting with scott and the homoerotic readings of that and then the phoenix’s adoption of jean’s form and it’s love/attachment to jean that it is demonstrating through that...it is an interesting connection to me.
