thoughts on hummus

I like hummus, but generally prefer it from restaurants vs. store-bought. A lot of store-bought has a weird aftertaste that I can't explain and it's not pleasant.

I’ve loved Harry Styles for 11 years now 🥰 and I hope you can get tickets for this time around! Sometimes the waiting for tickets thing can work but it’s really just a game of luck (which getting tickets at any time pretty much is, but waiting til closer to the concert is a really risky game)

hiii hello congrats on being accepted into a masters program omg !! and it's no trouble at all - if im not wrong, i have a 13" macbook air (2019) bc i switched in january 2020. i didn't buy the pro bc i figured i didn't need so much of the processing capability since really all im doing is typing and opening jstor tabs + pdfs. though i will say the one issue i've had with it is that it overheats and sounds like a goddamn airplane if i try to have a gdocs tab/any other chrome tab open while im on zoom for classes (since my profs required us to have cameras on) but since i take notes by hand it wasn't a super big deal, just kind of annoying :') other than that it works really well and i haven't had any trouble with it !

why does even the yellowbooks give you clickbait warnings about ‘the information ur trying to find may be surprising! we check criminal records! u wont believe what u find! its REAL info’ like please im trying to be as least invasive as possible and i dont care

I think it'd be interesting to see Zuko react to servants and other people who may not be used to the new fire lord. Thanks to Azula and Ozai, it's quite likely that a lot of the palace servants and others may have gotten used to feeling fear and wondering when they'll get hit or punished for even an understandable mistake.

Lucky for you, there are quite a few fanfics out there that explore that exact topic.

Yes, Katara absolutely does get done dirty by fans. Zuko fans in particular. And she really hasn't done anything wrong. Occasionally snapped on people who didn't deserve it when she was under extreme stress, yes, but if you're going to jump to condemn her for that, have you ever met a human?

hello anon! 💜 i have some,,,opinions 👀

notes: honestly, i remember fuckall about him from the books. i just know the actor who played him had the coolest vibe & voice and i would’ve loved more of him. i’ve seen some fics write him interestingly, though always in the background tbh.

notes: see, i like tonks as a comedic relief character who’s cutting through the tension of, ykno, everything. but that’s about it really. i *like* her to be fair, i’ve read some wonderful fics with her, but in canon she only existed to act as the mother of the harry-parallel-kid, to be honest. teddy had no reason to exist other than to stretch the tragedy out and bring it back full circle (except,,,,i wouldn’t even call it a successful full circle). all that aside though, her metamorphmagus powers are cool as fuck and gives me max envy.

notes: i am leaving the most controversial for the last lmao. see i’m of two minds about McG. there’s what she really did (and didn’t do) and what she’s got the potential to be. in terms of the latter, i love her, truly. she’s got loads of sass, she’s badass as hell, and she doesn’t take shit. that makes for a super cool character. but the way !! it’s executed !! makes me so mad. i’ve seen some fics tackle it, but she’s got so many titles that she doesn’t do a single one of them well. she constantly brushes the trio off, is unable or unwilling to exercise what power she does have, and generally isn’t the ‘mom like’ figure she’s painted as. that 150 points she took of the kids in first year? the complete blind eye to the bullying in 2nd and 4th? just,,,it’s the general incompetency all adults in hp show. (also my unreasonable pet peeve that crops up whenever an adult who knew j&s believed sirius could be the traitor. it’s why the mwpp mcg as their/sirius’ surrogate mom figure thing bugs me)

But yes, while I might have some issues with the way a lot of fics portray him, I think that Zuko does get his dues both in-universe and out, and he's also by far one of my favorite characters in this fandom to write. I also can't exactly deny I do a lot of projecting onto him because holy shit the father issues.
