//Ok but guys
//with phantom being the manifestation of your fears and doubts, Echo would be super prone and scared of them. Bc they’d be taking the shapes of all the different guardians she knows, each one eluding to her time on the Throneworld, how she’s a traitor to the Light for making the deal with Xol. Even Savathun would be one, so would Zavala, but the worst ones would be phantoms of her packmates expressing their fury and disgust, rejecting her as an unwelcome traitor from the pack, and then Xol himself appearing and cackling at her fall from grace as a guardian.
//All she’d be able to do is shoot and cry, screaming at the phantoms, “YOU AREN’T THEM! YOU AREN’T THEM!!!” before finally falling to her knees and sobbing into her hands.
//It would be Eris Morn, I think, who offers comfort. As a guardian and a hunter who has dabbled in dark magic, I think Eris Morn would sympathize with Echo. “You tampered with dark forces, seeking justice for your perceived crimes. But now you see you have walked the wrong path and fear that you will be rejected of the light. You are wrong. All of us make mistakes. All of us choose a wrong path one time or another. But it is up to us to rise above our fears and return to the light.” or something like that
//But what would be the REAL CLINCHER for Echo
//Is if when she came back to base and was being talked to by Eris Morn, her pack—who had witnessed her shadows and fears manifested—came back and with out a word, just hugged her. Just silently embraced her in that quiet way of ‘we aren’t leaving and you aren’t alone’
//GHHHHHHH
//Sorry guys I’m just having A LOT OF FEELS about Echo and this Season!!!
//edit: Bonus points for Eris bc after that first mission, Echo would absolutely see her as a spade card, a bad omen and absolutely unlucky. But when she finally breaks down and Eris is the one to confront and comfort her: you better belief she’ll be apologizing to Eris for how she treated her.
