Good morning, thinking about the Chansey that Emmet catches in the Lord Zoroark version of the Zoroark possession AU to help look after Ingo’s body. I have now decided she is an Alpha Chansey. This is for no other reason than the fact that Alpha Chansey is big, round, and also my friend. When she evolves into Blissey, so only gets bigger, rounder, and more my friend. some really important things from a conversation I’m having with a self-proclaimed “farty boy”, age 5:
- he’s killed a LOT of pirates, gouged their eyes out, and eaten their bodies after cooking them at his house. apparently they tasted good which is “why I have this fat belly”
- he has a collection of gems (rocks) that crawl around and have souls, one of which was so evil that it bit his soul
- there’s a guy who has a butt gun; this guy’s biggest weakness also happens to be his own butt
- he had a “mega-fart” that was so big it caused an explosion
- paused to lay on the ground as a way of using his shirt to wipe the juice he purposefully spit on the floor
- once he died for a whole month
This is the worst uv map in the entire history of earth I hope everyone in the world dies i think
HELLO i'm obsessed with your hospital dirk au i just had a brief stint in a ward so he's just like me <3 i had a question do the beta kids fit into this au at all? i know that dave is tangential to him but are any of the other betas at all important to the story
despite how much I love them, the beta kids don't really have a place in this au mostly because.... I am very picky about AUs. and I always need them to emulate canon as much as possible so it's always really hard for me to get into concepts where these characters actually grew up together or interacted with each other extensively because I think fundamental aspects of them are lost if they grow up in circumstances dissimilar to the ones they're shown in canon... e.g., dirk is who he is because he grew up entirely alone raising himself while dave is who he is because of the way bro raised him ALONE no camaraderie no irl friends or comrades just his freakish hyperaggressive guardian. vital aspects of their character are removed when you have them raised otherwise, I feel like? our childhoods shape us. so if they both grew up with bro they wouldn't be dirk and dave, they'd be, um...closer to ocs? not trying to be mean or anything. obviously this can be pulled off and there ARE exceptions...but just as a general rule this is how my brain functions and finds entertainment in aus.
sorry this answer got away from me. the point: no, they don't, at least not specifically... I kind of like to imagine dirk sequestered in a universe with only the alphaverse kids? like if the betas are there they're basically just their alpha selves. I guess? I mean... I realize I implemented Bro as a plot device which lends towards the idea of involving other beta characters as well... I'm open to ideas! but again, this really is something that's very dirk-centric just due to my undivided interest in him alone and how characters relate to him. i don't think I even intended for this to become "an au", the OG hospital dirk post was basically just me musing on how he would act in a mental hospital for idk personal fulfillment and then he kinda just became his own thing. I consider hospital dirk to be open source and so if you have ideas feel free to implement them. I love to see what you guys do!

Hayle got up, walking over to Vy, hugging him, as he knew this talk was hard for him to deal with. The loss of his little star was so raw, so hurtful, but he knew this dad talk was needed. They both needed to open their eyes and realize that they had two more kids that needed their parents. Vy: I hurt my children.. -he cried against Hayle’s chest, holding on to his husband’s hand.- Hayle: Yes, they feel hurt and abandoned, but that just means that you two have the chance to go to them, sit down, and have that talk you need. -he smiled- Luckily for you, they still need you, so, how about you go and find them, sit them down, and talk. Then I suggest you come back here and help them finish their fancy soup. When Vy pulled back, they walked over to Hayden, giving him a hug as well, sending them both to their kids for a talk they all needed.
Chris: Good, I think they got it. Hayle: I hope so. Chris: All those parenting books come in handy don’t they? Hayle: They do!
They sat and talked for a while before their talk was interrupted by their kids and grandkids coming in, Vy and El fixing the soup, while Lene and Hayden found what was needed to get the table ready for dinner. Now all they needed to do was get Fannar back, which so far proved the bigger obstacle.

It's been a lot of fun to think about and work on, and despite my attempts to keep it as a oneshot it is not going to work that way.

RIP to the twins' financial education because Anakin enjoys pirating so extreme periods of frugality till they're old enough to board a ship then spending spree. Absolute carnage of pirating if Anakin thinks he might be pregnant again followed by another period of frugality. Bootlegger Han Solo is going to be very confused by their ew inferior silk but darn and patch everything attitude. Actually now I'm imagining star wars events kick off while Obi-Wan is at sea and he comes back to find his whole family missing and Manor house burnt to the ground...
Aw this is so cute of an idea, absolutely!! i think the twins' childhoods must be batshit in this fic because their parents are very overprotective because, well, they spend a lot of time on a pirate ship, but they also have no one to blame but themselves for the call of the sea in their blood etc etc
i'm sure obi-wan and anakin have many, many conversations about the pros and cons of taking the children with them. obi-wan even considers retiring completely if that'll keep the kids safe--or switching out with anakin which parent goes to pirate around and which stays behind, but that's not what either of them really want either.....
so it ends up being this very hybrid lifestyle where they're raised on a ship that very rarely boards other ships anymore and raids passing ports while the twins are down for their naps
and when anakin is pregnant, it's a hard rule that they go back to the manor on the island and that they start living frugally with no complaining because if obi-wan hears one bit of a longing sigh or complaint he will leave and then anakin will be sad and pouty and his quality of hugs will go down 20% because he clings to the point of bruises
So on the continuing adventures of “Arcane has omegaverse worldbuilding I don’t have in any of my others” I’m seriously considering just removing Betas from it entirely.
Watch you finally find a shiny tiso. And he’s an alpha. /j
Honestly considering my whack shiny luck of somehow finding a good amount of alpha shinies (I got an alpha shiny Psyduck and Yanmega. Two blu alphas) - it both wouldn’t surprise me and I would burst out laughing honestly

Eltanin: Yeah, sometimes he can be away for weeks. Richard: Ouch, you must miss him when he is away? Eltanin: Yeah, not as much as his husband though. The two talked for a while, Richard telling him he had been on his way home to his parents, whom he had not seen in almost a year due to his chosen school being so far away. Eltanin told him about where he went to school, about the shelter where he spent so much time, and of course, he talked about his twin sister.
