In mentioning Doom, and Hal just going absolutely unhinged, that’s something I would hope Crow never gets to see, as I think it would legit trigger a Fight/Flight/Freeze terror response. I mean, whether he likes it or not, he has the “This Man Is Kinda Terrifying” fear response in Uldren’s memories probably seeping in a bit.

Which makes me wonder just how friggin’ bloodthirsty of a rampage YW went on when they hunted the Barons to swap Uldren from dismissive disdain to “holy fuck” (though I suspect it may have something to do with the whole “slays all of the Barons, including Fikrul, and proceeds to kill the Flying Anus Monster that ate me” bit).

But yes, back to Hal. He can 100% just click to “murder everything in the room, brutally” mode, and I mean “runs out of ammo and proceeds to just rip limbs off” brutal. Which could go on for a while if he’s allowed to just keep using that Devour ability. I headcanon that he is the Guardian in that one tab where a Ghost is going “I’m concerned about you and your bloodlust, but I do love you and I want you to know that”.

It’d be an angsty scene if it were to happen, that’s for sure, because once Hal kind of “came to”, if he saw that response of fear out of Crow, he’d feel instantly ashamed. He’d bolt because he can’t cope with the situation. As he tends to do with situations he doesn’t know how to emotionally handle.

Sad boy hours all around.

For the record, it’s both Hal’s fear response (as you can see, he’s a “Fight” guy) and a catharsis thing for Hal. Crow’s not the only one that needs some damn therapy.

Thoughts on houseplants?

Thoughts? On houseplants? Uhhh they're cool I guess. Never really had one despite being a volunteer gardener (vegetable) in high school. But anything that's green and gives you oxygen is a good deal.

My mom had a houseplant (not sure the type or species) at our last place that lasted like 6 years despite her frequently forgetting to water it. We joked it was unkillable. Then we moved into our current place, nestled in the corner of an L-shaped building in JUST the right spot to receive zero natural sunlight at all times. It died within a week.

tbf i think the MCU could redeem itself by downsizing its threats. It *was* a lot better when the threats were isolated, more specialized to its own heroes. It started out that way, then it was the entire US, then it was the Earth, then it was space, now it’s the multiverse. If you keep making your threats bigger, eventually you’re going to hit the ceiling and have nowhere left to go.

That’s part of why the Nolan trilogy and The Batman work so well—the enemy is localized. They’re brought down to a smaller and more believable scale, which makes them more threatening. Also I hate how a good chunk of movie plots for the past decade or so have been about the world ending lmao

It was the incessant tapping that woke Hiromi that morning.

Groggy and blinking sleep from her eyes she sat up and yawned. The tapping continued and in her groggy state, she tried to place the sound. Was it the front door? Frowning, she sat up and made sure her pajamas weren’t in disarray.

Stepping into the hallway the tapping stopped, still she walked to the front door and opening it found empty space.
