England is 100% the Baron in this. No, you cannot change my mind. Not sure about Haru and the others. What do you guys think? (And I'm asking who would work personality wise, not based on ships).
-A Whisker Away
Hmmm...I feel like the main girl, Muge, could be (fem?) America or (fem?) Greece and maybe Hinode is Japan...or maybe Muge is Hungary and Hinode is Austria? Opinions?
Midnight fast food adventures are a must for him. You can bet your ass that at least a couple nights a week you will be woken up for a 1am Taco Bell run. Neither of you ever dress for the weather and you don't really care, either. Alfred has sweatshirts stashed away in the back of his jeep for this exact moment.
He could very well make this venture on his own and you've most definitely told him this, but he can't help but want to bring you with him on the drive.
The Drive is what he's really after here. He loves seeing you wrapped in one of his sweatshirts, eyes bleary, and head lulling around a little until you finally end up laying on his arm while he steers with the other.
You're normally more awake on the drive home, so if the mood strikes him he's going to put on some slow songs and serenade you a little to make sure you fall back asleep. You always wake up the next morning tucked in bed with his hoodie.
England
On the nights when you or Arthur can't sleep, he'll make you both some tea and settle down in front of the fireplace. He makes you both a nest of pillows and blankets and makes a show of nestling down with his own book.
He'll try to maintain his normal distance but if you make any sort of move to look at what he's doing he will start to read aloud to you. A lot of times this will dissolve into the two of you talking back and forth at each other for a while, sometimes it's a snarky observation of the characters' choices, and sometimes you'll veer off onto an entirely new topic.
Bouncing around like this usually irritates him, but the warmth of the fire and you looking so content keeps him fully engaged with the conversation, wherever you may lead it.
He loves listening to you move from topic to topic, and he's always pleasantly surprised at where the conversation ends up. Most nights you'll start on about whatever book he's reading and slowly start transitioning over to getting him to tell you his old stories instead.
France
Late nights with Francis are very domestically passionate. When it's clear to him that neither of you will be sleeping that night he'll whisk you away into the kitchen and pour you both a glass of wine before he starts on the stove to make something sweet.
As he cooks, he'll make conversation with you about anything and everything. Talks about the future normally fill him with a certain amount of discomfort no matter how in love with you he may be, but on these nights he'll let his mind wander to you and your role in his heart.
The conversation won't stop as he plates the sweets and refills your glasses; not as he leads you to the couch with a breathtaking view of his city, and not as he situates you next to him, picking up a leg you'd rested in his lap to gently massage away the tension.
He never falls asleep before you do. Whether you end up passing out on him in the middle of the night or you both stay awake long enough to see the sun over the skyline, he's not going to move from the couch. If you both end up pulling an all-nighter then he'll make all the arrangements he can to clear up as much of your schedules as possible to make sure you both get some sort of beauty sleep.
Russia
Late nights with Ivan are usually the product of nightmares, either yours or his. In either case, the solution is the same for him. His bed is already covered in weighted stuffed animals, so his go-to way of making things better is to burry you both underneath it all and cuddle until whatever residual feelings resolve themselves.
Once all that's well and good, he abruptly sits up from your plush tomb. He does this in part to make sure you can free yourself easily, and in part because he knows it will get a chuckle out of you to see him act a little silly.
When everything is settled, you both curl up back underneath the covers of his bed. He's not all that great with his words, so he tries to convey more through physical touch. A squeeze on your upper arm to tell you he's here with you is his favorite. After a full-blown bear hug, of course, but he very much still appreciates the small gestures.
Canada
Midnights are when Mathew finds that he does his best thinking. Every now and then you'll reach out a hand during the night and find an empty space where a moose should be. That's how the Midnight Pancake Parties came into existence.
You'll find him in the kitchen with no lights except the overhead stove, sitting with a plate of pancakes on the table and Kumajiro at his feet. You don't say anything to him at first, waiting to see if he'll notice you on his own. When that doesn't work you can resort to jump scaring him.
Distraction is the name of the game here and you're both well aware of it, so as soon as his heartbeat regulates he's back up at the stove while you find a suitable playlist for the evening. Neither of you talks all that much, it's more of an unspoken understanding between the two of you.
While the pancakes are cooling, he'll wordlessly spin you into his arms and start swaying to the beat. It's not really a dance, you don't do much more than sway in each other's arms, but by the time the song ends he's smiling softly at you and the lines on his forehead have smoothed out completely. He'll give you one last twirl as you both sit to eat your pancakes before heading back off to bed.
China
Sleep is very important to Yao, so no matter the circumstance, he's gonna be a little crabby about it first. This means that if you don't actually need him, you don't want to wake him up. Like Russia, being awake during the night is more often than not caused by nightmares or emotional distress. In most cases, he's never upset for long when he sees why you've woken him up.
Yao elects to go for a walk around the gardens during times like these. He'll wrap you up in a robe and usher you outside to the stars, then spend however long he needs to in order for you to feel settled.
While you walk he likes to tell you old stories and proverbs to fill the silence and make you focus on something other than your dreams and worries. If he knows anything about what might be troubling you, he'll make up a new story on the spot with some thinly veiled advice or comfort for you.
After your walk, he'll settle you in bed with your head over his heart and pass right back out again. He'll do more to comfort you in the morning, but he does the best he can to make sure you feel safe enough to drift off right behind him.
(sorry if the ask box isn't open but) How are you doing with school?
I study astrophysics at Hetalia Academy. I do love me some math AND space, but boy does it get overwhelming with all the lectures and seminars I have to attend. Plus I have ADHD which makes it extra hard sometimes. Loving your major and wanting to study doesn't make the knowledge automatically land in your head.
I've recently developed a new hc about England. I feel like after America left him, he totally had a mental brbreakdown, and that's when he became a pirate.
Only problem with that is he still had other colonies to take care of. So Scotland and his other siblings had to step up and raise the others for years until England got bored.
I feel like it set a huge wall up between America and the rest of his family, and led to a lot of resentment amongst the Kirkland family. Which only created an "us against them" mentality mentality for Al and Arthur and made them more codependent on each other
