yes! i mark and fold pages with whatever utensil is at hand. i love seeing a book loved and really like others' books like that as well

in no particular order:

- harry potter & the philosopher's stone - jkr bad yes but also this series fundamentally started my love for reading so it's on the list even if retrospectively it wasn't brilliant writing or anything

- the lion, the witch and the wardrobe - classic for a reason, fond memories of my uncle reading these to me and my sister

- lang geleden... - dutch history book i went over sooo many times as a kid. gorgeous illustrations, probably updated since i read it as it was based on the historical canon

- kruistocht in spijkerbroek - need i say more

- koning van katoren - forget elections or hereditary monarchy. give an 18 year old a set of challenges to become king as decided by a game of dice. brilliant.

What do you think of Audrey's cousin, Ariana, and the rest of their family and why?

Audrey's family is the main reason she turned out the way she is. They pressured her to be the picture perfect princes since early youth and were the main reason she believed she needs to be the queen to be happy.

Her parents are constantly absent. There isn't a single interaction between them through both books and movies. She is left to be raised by her abusive grandmother in a very toxic environment.

Leah is a story on her own. I don't know why they made her so ooc in the third movie or why is she raising Audrey alone. Where is Stefan? Where are Aurora and Philip? Leah had every right to be distrustful towards the vks in the first movie but no right to criticize Audrey over something that was out of her control and someone else's fault.

Ariana is raised in just as toxic environment as Audrey and its shown when she talks about how Audrey isn't worth the attention when she isn't dating a prince. She is spoiled and arrogant and cares about status just like the rest of them. I think she was friends with Audrey before her break up with Ben.

Roses are probably the most toxic, snobby family of Auradon. They shouldn't be that way, Aurora and Philip shouldn't have been that way, but I guess it's made to paint Mal as the good guy and her mother's enemies as the bad.

so I'm thinking, what would it have taken for Malware to agree to Azmuth's terms in Showdown part 2 and stop what he was attempting to do in that episode? What would Azmuth have had to say to Malware, how would he have convinced everyone else to stand down, etc.

I feel like at the point, the change needed would have had to been happening already.

Like if Azmuth constantly tried to change Malwares mind and offer to make amends, slowly causing Malware to loose his resolve over time and when Showdown starts he's more maliable and willing to reason.

Malware is a person so filled with rage he is BLIND with it. And the show does nothing to show Azmuth truly feeling remorse for how things ended up.

I genuinely cannot express enough how I think the state Malware was in with how canon had him existing pushed him beyond the capability to be reasoned with by the end of his life.

It's very interesting that you bring up stats when comparing certain players yet when they're brought up against players you dislike, suddenly stats don't matter anymore. Not even that much a fan of Hatch but it's glaringly obvious that you're letting your bias do the talking when it comes to assessing her playing style. I don't think she'd be a starter on the national team but her quick impact in games (both nwsl and uswnt) could make her a good competitor as a supersub. But you won't admit it.

One reason that people don’t like antidote Ben is because they say it’s Gwen’s thing. But it’s not, it’s both there heritage. Magic is Gwen’s thing.

So if Ben dose get antidote powers doesn’t mean he will have the same abilities as Gwen. He would probably only have the basic ability while Gwen has magic.

I kinda agree on the “Its Gwens thing” argument because 1) Shes the only one who’s been shown to use it and 2) Ben has the Omnitrix so he doesn’t really need to rely on his Anodite heritage if he’s in a tough situation BUT I do love Anodite Ben and if the Omnitrix is busted he could just use his mana to fight. He wouldn’t be as powerful as Gwen but he would still be powerful

I’ve said before that I greatly dislike the spark skipping generations thing or at least dislike the fact that Gwen was the only one to fully utilize it. If Ben used his Anodite abilities it wouldn't make Gwen any less special because she can do magic and Ben can’t

If Ben turned into an Anodite he would only have the basic Anodite abilities such as flight and mana manipulation, he wouldn't be able to cast spells like Gwen because he didn’t study magic like she did

If it was the Gwen 10 universe than yes he would be able to cast spells since Ben and Gwen essentially just switch places in that universe but in the Prime universe Ben can’t cast magic until he's older when Gwen teaches him

Just because Gwen can use her Anodite powers doesn’t mean Ben can’t
