12, 14 for random writer asks!

What is one character you love but rarely/never write? I love love all of the Jedistormpilot triad but I don’t write them and rarely read fic about them which is obviously Very Logical ;). Also Faramir from LOTR is like, one of my absolute Type characters, I adore him deeply and I don’t write or read fic about him at all.

What is your go-to ‘self-indulgent’ genre of writing (such as comfort, angst, enemies to friends, etc.)? It’s hurt/comfort with a happy ending but in a way that the trauma still remains, you still live with it but there’s kindness, there’s good and (found) family as well. Which is very specific but it’s true - I will absolutely default to that to read and to write (like in my having a very bad week I reread a bunch of fic and a book that probably doesn’t read as comforting to most people but it really makes sense because it’s got the above which is A+). Sometimes I will also just need to read/write ‘this is awful, this is horrible but there is still going to be grace and kindness and it matters’ content as well.
