Caleb has always been into women. He's never thought of anything different until he meets the man he's renting a room from. There's something about Whit that Caleb can't get enough of. Falling for Whit, when hes never even thought of another man like that before, is not something Caleb expected. Will Whit give Caleb a chance or will he do what his parents want him to do instead?

Caleb's change is fast. The way he looks at Whit is delightful. I enjoyed the banter quite a bit. Whit is very broody. His scowl is everything! When Caleb got sick things took a 180 turn. Caleb has an amazing family. I hate Whit's mom and dad. How can you do that to your son? All the times Whit gets upset about the mess Caleb makes is hysterical. I liked all of their friends. This was an okay story for me.

Dans ma PAL depuis... toujours? 😄 J'ai finalement pris le temps de lire «L’amant» de Marguerite Duras. Dernièrement, tout me ramenait à ce livre, alors que même les personnages de mes récentes lectures le lisaient (dans «Mon mari» et «Tout est ori», notamment) 💙 Cette autofiction raconte l’enfance et l’adolescence de l’écrivaine en Indochine. L’histoire d’une passion amoureuse, d’un désir charnel, d’une relation défendue… D’autres thèmes (plus intéressants) sont également traités, dont les relations difficiles avec sa mère et avec son frère aîné que sa mère a toujours préféré. Je m’attendais à être envoûtée… ça n’a malheureusement pas été le cas 😕 J’ai ressenti plus de malaises que de d’émois et peu d’empathie pour le personnage de la jeune fille 😬 Lu d’un trait malgré tout, parce que ça demeure un Goncourt tout de même accessible et que ça se lit bien un dimanche de pluie 🌧

His sister Candice may be bad but Zara is a real witch with a capital B. Evan is the sweetest man ever. Anyone would be lucky to have a guy like Evan. The tweet was perfect. I enjoyed their first phone call. The gifts were over the top. All the phone calls were so cute. So many people will be jealous of Zara. They both have loving families. I love her nickname. The ending was good.

Wow! This is pure horror with all the gore included! And, it has illustrations... which are seriously freaky! (I thank you for the nightmares but I need an eraser for my brain bc scary).

The plot really centers around a small town sheriff and her deputy on her last night on the job.... and, of course, the witch. There are several issues revolving around the sheriff and why she is leaving that make up part of the story. But, mainly, the focus goes to the witch and her tricks and treats on this Christmas-y night.

I did feel like the chapters jumped around a bit and that the ending was wanting but still a good horror read to check out.

I adored this read!! The roaring twenties in New York City! An underground club called The Nightingale that welcomes all patrons equally. Let the drinks flow and the jazz wash away your worries.

This was Vivian's favorite spot and she would do anything to protect her little piece of heaven even if it meant getting involved in solving a murder that occurred. This murder/mystery is slow-paced but moves smoothly and enjoyably. Especially because it is such a character driven plot.

I really enjoyed this and recommend as a good read!

Remy is a Holloway girl. And, this comes with a strange sort of responsibility for a girl at age 16. A Holloway girl's kiss supposedly brings bad luck during her season. However, when it's Remy's turn, she discovers that even something as simple as a lucky kiss can turn bad. She kisses her crush and he falls under a spell of bad luck! But, is this really Remy's fault?

I mostly enjoyed this story. My favorite piece to this tale is Tobin's character and how Remy seems to grow stronger and more confident by the end of the book. The magic is really low-key and not discussed in great detail but that didn't take away from this fun, fast-paced read.
