Great book, amazing even.
I found out about this book from tiktok, not saying I’m a monster f***er, but this book got me rethinking my life. Nah, honestly? It’s a great book, I love the suspense to the situation with her fathers murder, (not gonna give away too much detail, spoilers) the war with Acheron, EVERYTHING. My only problem is, I have a pet peeve with books that constantly switch P.O.Vs but lately those seem to be the ones I enjoy most. I’m still taking a point because of this tho <3

"Nu-i era nici foame, nici frig; îi era teamă. Un instinct luase locul altui instinct. Nu se gândea decât cum să scape. Să scape, de cine? De toate. Viața i se părea, pretutindeni în jurul lui, ca un zid groaznic. Dacă ar fi putut sa evadeze din viață, ar fi făcut-o. Dar copiii nu cunosc evadarea care se numește sinucidere."

I studied HARD for my cartography test tomorrow. But guess who got sick? Yeah, me. I had to skip cheer practice today too. I’m so angry with all this situation! At least I went to my parents new job’s building. It’s pretty, but I prefer the old one (it was a historical building, lots of Dark Academia vibes you know?) Almost everyone know me since I was a baby and they were so happy to see me with almost 24 yo, studying and training hard… It was very nice. Anyway, hope tomorrow I wake up better then now.

I love reading the acknowledgements in a novel.
My favorites are the ones in the Stormlight Archive and the Illuminae files, but the absolute best of all time, I think, goes to This Is How You Lose The Time War for the line about throwing axes.
Do y'all read the acknowledgements? Do you have favorites?
There are two kinds of nuclear forces, the strong and the weak. Since the proton has positive charge, and since positive charges repel each other, the nucleus of the atom might ordinarily fly apart. What holds the nucleus together, overcoming electrostatic repulsion, are the nuclear forces. Without them, our entire world would dissolve into a cloud of subatomic particles.

Title: Make Music With Me(Straight Wicked #1)
Author: Kristine Allen
Pages:303
Synopsis: I’m the lead singer for Straight Wicked, the hottest rock band in years. Every woman wants to be my muse. But that position is already filled. Lust, love, heartbreak, anger - every word I sing is for her. Except she doesn’t belong to me. She used to be my brother’s woman, but now she’s drowning in grief and I’m soullessly plotting. I want her to see me. I want her to hear my music. I want her to know my words. I should feel guilty for what I’m about to do, but I don’t. She needs to move on and I need to fucking breathe again. I’m a substitute for no one. My name is Levi MacKenzie and I’m in love with my brother’s fiancé
“That is not a word, Madame Scholar,” Thane said with a laugh, drawing the surprised attention of his aunt as well as Culbert, who stared at him as if he’d grown two heads. His laughter cut off abruptly. “What?” he snapped.
“Nothing,” Mabel said with another of those fascinated stares. “I haven’t heard you laugh in some time.”
“I laugh all the time.”
“Perhaps when you’re terrorizing young children,” Astrid said and covered her mouth with a shocked giggle.

This is that massive text block before it was sewn! I was feeling daunted by the thought of punching holes in 96 individual signatures. So I went to the hardware store and bought a little hand saw.

The final Montague sibling book!
I really loved this book. For a long time I've been looking for more mental health representation that discusses suicide and the impact of it, and this book covered and dealt with it beautifully. Adrian's point of view was so emotional and so well written with how it dealt with his mental illness I really appreciated it.
The book was less funny than the other two but it still had it's funny moments, and I feel like the change in tone was really fitting for it being the final book.
The interplay between the siblings, how things have changed for them was really wonderful, and I like that their adventures leave their marks on the characters, with some life changing injuries.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ a really wonderful end to this series
really need to get it together because it’s finals next week!!! let’s gooo let’s finish strong 🥳
There was one picture, taken by the stairs - it depicted neither Tomie nor the monster. Rather, the image of a sad young woman fading into shadow.
