hi, i came across pictures of your calcifer crochet plushie. may i ask if you are sharing or selling the pattern anywhere? thank you!
I'm oddly getting a lot of questions about this recently on various platforms/accounts. Did that calcifer plushie get shared somewhere popular??
Anyways to get to your question, no. The crochet stuff is all very far behind me in a past life. I stopped selling/distributing patterns at the end of 2012 😬! And I stopped selling crochet items entirely in 2018.
#ask syppah#crochet #sorry everyone but i gave all that up years ago #and i have zero plans to ever go back into that world
[image description: two images showing a crocheted butterfly accessory. It has primarily red wings, and all four are rimmed with black and specks of white. The antennae are very fuzzy. The first image shows it on its own, sitting flat on my hand, and in the second it is attached to my Hornet doll’s right horn. end image description]
little butterfly charm! red is so good on hornet <3
i’ve been wanting to make something like this for a while now, and this is attempt two; the first one had wonky wings rip. (you can see it in the background of the first image; white, black and purple is a good combo). always write your pattern down folks. and i did this time!
i don’t personally think it’s that complicated of a pattern, but it can get a little hard to see what you’re doing if you use the same color for rows 1 and 2. the puff stitches and cluster stitches make it really soft to touch, and give it a nice poofy look, but they get a little tight and hard to pull through at some points. it’s not that bad though really. i’m more than happy to share the pattern if people are interested, since this is a pretty small thing. and if not, c: hornet pretty
#literally i'm like holding her arms and dancing her around while singing you so pretty! you so pretty!!! #i love accessorizing her asdkjfg #but yeah! hit me up if you want the pattern #though my notes are kind of a mess #my art#crochet shenanigans #also i bought circular knitting needles today so >:) sweater dropping soon
also im totally looking at gift ideas to send to my best friend but literally all of the stuff im seeing is like.. for straight people
#like theyre going to crochet me a plush #i want to diy something myself maybe #but even if i dont craft something like #all of these articles about gifts for friends or whatever #are very clearly not written by or for gay people 💀💀💀 #or gen z even for that matter #like why would my friend want a handcrafted picture frame made out of driftwood #and maybe thwy would idk #but its like... #thag is Not interesting whatsoever #to me anyway #but if anyone has ideas lmk #eli dont look at this
This is a flock of a dozen chicken coasters I made for a good friend of mine who grew up raising chickens, and happens to be the main host for our friend group which averages about a dozen members when we play D&D.
I mostly stayed in what are natural colors for chickens, but I couldn’t help but adding in one silly colored chicken with the blue one. I’m really happy with how these turned out, and the pattern was super easy to follow! If you have a friend who loves chickens I would highly reccomend this pattern for a fun, easy to make gift.
Hello animatronic side of tumblr! Took a nice photo of the chuck at my local CEC!
Look at he face!! It’s shame that he only moved when singing\whenever an official song came on. But when he did move, It was awesome! His stage also lights up but i couldn’t get any photos or videos of it.
I’m gonna be taking a trip to billybob’s soon, So maybe i’ll post some photos from there. Got up close and personal with this one!
#cec #chuck e cheese #animatronics#animatronics irl #HE WAS SINGING ABOUT CROCHET AND MOVING AND GROOVING #BUT THEY TURNED OFF THE SCREEN AND MUSIC #AND HE STOPPED BEFORE I COULD FILM IT AUGH- #He loves crochet i guess #i just think they're neat #they may be robots but i care about them hehe
Stress relief rug i made for myself today 😌 it needs to be blocked pretty bad, but i don't feel like doing that right now.
I did a crab stitch border expecting the worst, but for all of the complaints I've seen over the years about that stitch, it is honestly so easy. The only hard part was knowing where to put the ending slip stitch
Yarn is lion brand's respekt in ebony. Pattern was free handed. Took about three hours.
Me: Holy shit, am I actually down to just three in-process craft projects? I should celebrate!
Also me: ...by starting another craft project.

so this is specifically for all crafters out there, specifically anyone in fiber arts (crochet, knit, sewing, etc). does anyone else just flat out refuse to use a pattern for any project or is it just me? i can’t possibly be the only craft anarchist, i want to find my stubborn little group of people
