YESSS my legacy. Incredible. Uhhh I expended a lotta the general ideas I feel comfortable posting here in my last general hcs post but uhh lemme try to come up with something.

I think Sniper is very very very awkward. Kind of repressed and very inexperienced and doesn't know how to be cool or charming or sexy on purpose (I think he can be by accident, but that doesn't count) and Demo is INTO it. He thinks it's cute. He is endlessly charmed by the sensuality of Sniper's dead autism stare. Like this but sexy

What are your random head canons for swordvan?

Hm I gotta have just some random ideas kinda milling in my head. Alright here's some I can think of (some are repurposed from past posts but sssh):

Demo's mom kind of hates Sniper bc well. have you seen that boy. I know it's kinda more popular (nothing w them is ever Popular but you get the idea) to make Demo's mom LOVE Sniper bc Professionalism but I think the opposite is really funny like son this white boy sucks

Similar note, Sniper's parents LOVE Demo. I also see "they hate Demo bc he kills people and they hate Sniper's job" but look. I am a guy who is weird in real life. I know how parents of weird people are. They are just so pumped that their son is making friends (yknow. "friends") that they will accept ANYTHING. It also helps a little bit that Demo is hot like that's kind of just an added bonus

I think they both deserve to be like cryptozoology guys. Demo's kind of a nerd about it and Sniper just likes camping and also camping is romantic if you do it right so they win. Not finding Bigfoot but definitely finding love

Sniper doesn't know shit about cars and Demo has to keep coming out to fix the stupid van and they bond. OR he pretends to not know shit about cars only so his hottest coworker will have to keep coming out to fix the stupid van and they bond

Demo is like the first guy to really make friends with Sniper and I think he's a very touchy affectionate friend. This is great bc Sniper is unbelievably repressed and that just. KILLS him bc oh no he's hot

However I think the minute they like, establish themselves as a Thing Sniper is super touchy. Maybe he pretends he isn't around people or smth but he loves affection and he does not get any attention please pet him etc etc

Demo likes PDA and Sniper is embarrassed by this and the fact that he's embarrassed by it makes Demo do it more. It's cute and respectful tho he's not rlly overstepping any boundaries <3

Back to the self-esteem thing from the last ask but in like a jokey way: both of them are CONVINCED the other is way out of his league. Demo really genuinely thinks Sniper is like hot and charming and cool deep down so even tho he def teases him a lot he's still wondering how could something this good happen to me. And the answer is bc you deserve it babe cmon

Honestly I feel like an underrated aspect of swordvan is how both Sniper and Demo have dealt with a lot of severe parental disapproval regarding their jobs, and how this has affected their self-image

I didn't actually think of It until I started looking for Demo art! And then I found it as well as DemoHeavy! I ADORE The aesthetics of the ship. Their essentially two varieties of rat men Who help each other.

Ooough this is a good one uhhh well I think they'd be close as Friends before, optimally in my head this is bc Sniper is the kinda guy to be REALLY into anyone who is REMOTELY nice to him bc he doesn't have friends. I think of Demo as like. someone who's kinda touchy and affectionate and just Great with all his friends so they're already Really Close Friends(tm) by the time they both kinda collectively have an oh no he's hot moment. I know it's kiiiinda overdone but I can totally see a confession happening while they're drinking together. I think they're both mad repressed and touch starved and everything it's very awkward and just fantastic. Can you I think about this All The Time

Been inspired by @aprofessionalwithoutstandards so please consider SniperDemo / Swordvan AU where both are royalty of some form (Demo from Scotland, Sniper from New Zealand) and have an arranged marriage in the future for the sake of their family name / lineage to continue on

Mainly for the idea of Demo watching his Mum absolutely lay into Bill-bel in the middle of a political meeting and it rapidly spiraling into chaos (and being bored because this usually happens sooner in these sorts of things) and just talking to his new and unfamiliar fiancee like, “Whelp this is going down the drain. You wanna get out of here and do something else?”

And Sniper, who's been dreading this meeting since he first heard about it three days ago and is practically scratching at the door to be let out, just looks at him and says, “PLEASE.”

Hot new swordvan idea Demo has told his mom about his boyfriend, and, blinded by love, does not mention that his new man looks like a mangy dog found in a wet cardboard box all alone. This leads Tilly to believe that her son landed a super jacked crazy sexy Saxton-esque Australian boyfriend. Bonus points if she doesn't immediately pick up on this being untrue upon first meeting him (like he's weird yknow he won't let her touch him) and when she does realize her son is in love with a wet rag of a white guy she's just. agonized.

Demo: Medic would be natural towards Demo, he would ENCOURAGE Demo to do crazy stupid thing. They come back, after all.

Sniper: Medic probably made him do something crazy anyway. And if he didn't I think he'd be v surprised !

Medic: Demo doesn't care. He's used to Medic's insane bullshit, he just doesn't want him to hurt himself.
