Hubert: Edelgard, what does "cucked" mean?
Edelgard: *Freezes*... What?
Hubert: It's just that I overheard Dorothea telling Yuri how much you've come to love being cucked by her. It's not a word I'm familiar with.
Edelgard: *Eyes wide* She... She said that?
Hubert: Indeed. She also mentioned how much pleasure she gets out of it, particularly when she does it with Petra. Something about the way you react to the two of them together. I'm still unsure as to what it means though.
Edelgard: *Blushing bright red* Hubert, I think we should stop talking to each other for a little while.

Should the Nabateans have any ruling or leadership positions due to their long lives or is their too much of a risk of another Rhea cropping up, no matter their supposed good intentions?
Of their own people, certainly. I see no reason why they wouldn’t be able to govern themselves with no more than the usual risk of oppression.
But with how easy it very clearly is for the Nabateans to see humans as lesser for having one form and nowhere near their longevity, it simply would not be acceptable for one of their people to govern ours.
What do they know of our needs? Our well-being? Even the best of intentions would be worthless without the direct insight and involvement of the people. For the very same reason, Brigid will have sovereignty and Petra as queen when she is content to lead it. Lady Edelgard may care for Petra and wish Brigid well, but she cannot understand what they need to the same degree that Petra does.
Her good intentions make Her Majesty a reliable ally, not a suitable replacement as queen. The same applies for the Nabateans regarding humanity, no matter how superior some among them may feel themselves to be.
We are far better at ruling and leading ourselves than Nabateans could ever hope to be.
