In all my arguments on how Hacks is an R rated version of The Good Place I never thought to add the way "I'm trying to be a good person, you dumb bitch" is very much an uncensored Eleanor Shellstrop quote.

– I want to believe. instead I look at the sky and I feel nothing. you know I hate to be alone. I want to be wrong
Eleanor: My boyfriend is too tall for me to kiss him on the lips. What should I do?
Micheal: Punch him in the stomach. Then, when he doubles over in pain, kiss him.
Judge Gen: Dump him.
Jason: Tackle him.
Tahani: Kick him in the shin.
Chidi: NO TO ALL OF THOSE JUST ASK ME TO LEAN DOWN!
"Crikey? How did I even think that?"
"Now the thing I said right after we kissed will always be hot diggety dog."
Must be a bi thing ❤💜💙

Luz’s reaction to the kiss reminded me of Eleanor Shellstrop saying “hot diggity dog” after Chidi kissed her.
when in season 1 eleanor is house- and dogsitting, and she goes to the Rihanna concert and leaves the dog there, pours the food out for it, and says
"Do not eat this unless its an emergency!" to the dog, and she repeats herself.
and then she smiles and says
"wow, im ready to be a mother" then goes to the concert
its so sad, because thats probably what her mother did all the time and when she repeated back the words she knew it was the same thing she heard before she was left alone, which was how she experienced parents were growing up
100 days of favorite characters ★ day 21 - eleanor shellstop (the good place)
why do bad things always happen to mediocre people who are lying about their identities?
If you love Eleanor&Chidi (The Good Place) and you want reblog or like, this is the link of my reblog couples :)
thank you!
I finished The Good place and wow, you wouldn't expect to have an existential crisis while watching a sit-com
In such a light hearted manner they went over the themes such as goodness, friendship, true love, world situation, what it means to be a good person, what it means to he happy, would humans be satisfied with external happiness? Would humans change if they were given a chance and good environment
Just wow
Okay I'm gonna try and make this the last thing I post about The Good Place for today, (lest I get too wrapped up in it) but I just wanted to say. That episode where Eleanor is convinced she's incapable of loving someone, so Michael shows her how she and Chidi fell in love, and then she trips all over herself trying to prove that it was "predetermined" or whatever? So it doesn't count?
I do think the way Michael proved to her that she has free will was important, but I also think he should've pointed out that, even if he were the one responsible for them falling in love, it was still Eleanor herself who loved Chidi, carried out the action of loving him. Loved him for days or weeks or months, held his hand and stared down an all-powerful demon and told that demon that their love was more powerful than any evil he could throw at them.
Which I actually think is maybe more important than whether or not they fell in love all on their own.
Also, she and Chidi both make a big deal out of how they never said "I love you" before, but she actually says it very naturally to him, very soon after they first met, in the very first run, right before she confesses to being a mistake. I get that it wasn't with the same intent, but it was also accompanied by probably her first moment of true selflessness, in order to save him, so, like, that's not nothing.
Also, also, hurts my heart to think that Eleanor can't see how well she loves everyone in her little messed up found family. Even when she's not in love with them, she fights so hard for them, to keep them together, and tries to sacrifice herself for them so many times! And then turns around and thinks love is something she's just fundamentally incapable of?
on today’s episode of neurotypicals make no sense:
telling someone you don’t agree with what they just said but still respect their right to their own opinion is apparently rude
im just like chidi anagonye btw. cause im in love with eleanor shellstrop. if you even care
The Good Place would have been improved 1000% if Eleanor and Tahani got given magic powers when they were Architects and no I will not elaborate.
y'all ever had a show be SO good you can't rewatch it? like i'm saving it for the right time in my life and preparing myself to look at it with a new perspective.
Eleanor Shellstrop was sentenced to hell for aplatonic crimes (a version without eye contact)
