Assorted doodles from my the horrible new au I came up with, that in my story app on my phone is titled "Stolen Pokemon, Forgotten Brother"
Anyway, what's happening here is, Volo is on the battle subway, with Ingo's stolen pokemon (I only drew Chandelure because they're easy and fun to draw). Chandelure perks up when she realizes that theyre in the battle subway.
When Volo sees Emmet, he fears that its Ingo going to fight him back for his pokemon. Or at the very least, this person is going to realize that these are Ingo's pokemon.
But Emmet doesnt even really recall these pokemon because he has completely suppressed all his memories of ingo, and believes himself to be an only child.
And yet.... he cant help but see that these pokemon are unhappy with this trainer. And there's a nagging feeling in his heart the back of his head, that these pokemon Should Not Be with a stranger. That this is verrrrry wrong.
His own pokemon seemed excited to see these other pokemon, and then distressed when they were about to leave.
He has no right (he has Every right) to stop this man, as it's not like he saw any abuse of the pokemon. But he cant let them leave. Not yet.
unpictured is Volo's response of: "you're right. They dont like me very much, because we're not used to each other yet. You see.... I acquired these pokemon after the unfortunate death of a friend. I'm sure they'd want nothing more than to return to their original trainer, but I'm sad to say it's impossible."
And while Emmet has repressed Ingo's memory, (and the fact that the reason for doing so was the city declaring him dead), Emmet can't help but feel his heart break.

I haven't decided if Volo gets to leave at this point while emmet tries to figure out why he's breaking down over the death of a stranger (HA), or if Emmet snaps out of it soon enough to still try and see if he cant take these pokemon himself, since they seemed to like him.
