it's literally what it sounds, each car competing in a 1v1 face off from a standing start, pit stop and leaving the box.

it's just a cute bit of fun, but boy are these people competitive, it's incredibly exciting.

the most interesting parts (for me) from the race: formula e's hidden gem deserves better in 2023.

funny/cool things:

a driver told sam smith after qualifying: "someone needs to give Sergio a medal for that lap he just did out there". ex-team manager at dragon (gary holland) told that sergio couldn't go back to brazil for almost 18 months bc of the first wave of the pandemic, so he moved to a small apartment in Barceolna and “spent a while on a mattress on the floor because he moved himself in and didn’t want to pay a removal company." and completed with "he's just a mega normal guy".
