so like i started watching greys anatomy for the first time, im at season 2 episode 23 and i just want to say that i want to murder alex so fucking much. hes such a fucking douchebag. its not your fucking body dude, grow up. asshole.

Cristina Yang is a survivor and it pisses me off so much that the show never talked about it. Owen Hunt abused her. Their relationship was abusive from the start--S5E8, she walks up to him, touches his shoulder, he flinches. From PTSD, fine, we get it. But then he's angry. Then he's a strong white man who's angry and Cristina Yang is in an alley, at night, alone. And he approaches her, he gets in her space, she presses against a wall when backing up, trying to calm him down. You can see how she looks to the side, for help. Then he kisses her. But I don't care, because she was scared. Because he was a big man and she was a woman and they were in an alley at night alone.

I can obviously go on about this. We all know that this peaked with him trying to strangle her. But there were so many red flags before and after (even up until the kiss--the way he holds her to double standards, the way he treats her abusively, etc etc). She should not have stayed with him. Callie and Mer should have forced him into rehab, forced him away from her. He should have been fired from the hospital.

He gets his redemption arc. He gets to be a better person. And that doesn't get to be an excuse for his abuse. For the fact that Cristina survived domestic violence. The show doesn't portray it, but a woman is never the fucking same after that. Nobody is.

And what always pisses me off is how he always has that stupid look of regret, pity, feeling bad, feeling helpless, lost, whatever. After he abuses her.

The show should have made it very fucking clear that his behavior was not okay, was not redeemable, and was not justifiable. It's explainable, sure, but I don't care where in the world he is or how many times he was almost killed. He almost killed her. The show should have provided warnings, social media posts, and a hotline to call for domestic violence.

Grey's should have explicitly said this, so I'm saying it for you:

Guess what. If anyone tries to hurt you, no matter the circumstance, that is not okay. You are the survivor. Your story is important and valid. Your story is the one that is important. You do not owe your abuser the time of day, or a hug, or a therapy session.

You are the important one.

Colin is Denny, Dami is Izzie

Here's what I see:

Damian and Colin have been in a relationship for a few years now.

They're on a mission and Colin gets severely injured.

By the time they get to the nearest safehouse, Colin already lost most of his blood.

Damian performs surgery on him and was successful but he doesn't if it actually worked.

That same night, the Wayne Family had a gala. Damian didn't wanna go but Colin insisted that it was okay.

Damian calls his other friends to watch over him, Maya, Kathy, Mia, etc. and he goes to get ready.

Before he actually goes to the gala, he goes to Colin one last time and checks up on him. By the time he gets there, they just look at him.

He knows something is wrong and runs to his room. And he just stares. He doesn't need to be told. He knows Colin's already dead. Then he just lays beside him with her arms around him.

His friends call his family and his brothers immediately rush in to find him beside his now dead boyfriend.

He starts talking about what went wrong with the mission and the surgery. He starts to blame himself for what happened and tells them that he shouldn't have left him to go to the gala.

He starts to blame himself for what happened just cries beside him, telling them about how he actually proposed to him while they were on their way to the safehouse, all while he was still losing blood.

Jon's the one who pulls him away from him and just holds him in his arms till he stops crying.

By the time he calls down, Bruce and Selina show up. Damian walks passed them and acts as if they weren't there. When called, he turns to them and says he resigns as Robin. Then he leaves.

I'm still not over the fact that there's an actor named E.R. on a medical drama.

whatever happens tonight, i'm just so happy to have found out e.r. fightmaster exists in this world. will be exciting to follow their career. on top of that? i feel like them joining the cast has clued us in more on just how lovely caterina is (not that we didn't know before), so overall i'm choosing joy and appreciation, even though those writers will have me eating my words in some hours lol

This ^ like, I am so happy that we got introduced to E.R. and that their career has been great (you've made it once you're on Grey's, right?) and has grown so much. And yeah, like I knew how great Caterina was before this, but seeing how happily she has embraced this side of her character and how well she has, it was phenomenal. And how nice both of them are to fans is an added bonus.

Even if this is the end (I doubt it), we still have all this content and these two amazing people to appreciate for it.
