I finally read Count the Ways. When I started the story, I initially thought I was gonna hate Millie as much as I hated Angel because they seemed like very similar characters at first. But where I think Count the Ways succeeded was that Millie was actually called out for her wrongdoings and she started to feel remorse for not appreciating life and being crappy to the people around her. Not to mention, she’s a young teen so maybe I’m also more forgiving because of that too.
It’s also weird because I feel should be feeling more sorry for Angel since life was being unfair to her. Millie was ungrateful for much of the story.
