I sewed my first skirt! It's not great but I learned how to do better on my next one while making it. I'm really excited that I made something like this all by myself. Really should of used a pattern tbh. Also, does anyone have a better way to sew an elastic waist? I just folded the fabric over and fed the elastic through, and it's not very comfortable, nor does it look very nice. It's functional though. I do want to try something different for my next one, and I really would appreciate any advice.

this is the second time ive meant to post about sewing but have forgotten to take any progress pics. so here's a deflated frog for my best friend because i didn't remember to take a picture until right before i stuffed him.

Saturday night fits

I dabbled with leather work for the first time.

The seam of my brother's construction apron had teared and the nails kept falling off, and since all his leather work supplies are at home, he asked if I could help. I could.

Not my prettiest stitching, but it does the job which is the only important thing.

I needed a bag for funeral today and obviously left it to the last minute, so I hand sewed this string bag last night.

I still need to make some corrective moves so it's more functional on next event, but I relly like it already ❤️
