Hello lovelies,
With everything going on recently, my husband and I feel strongly about no longer supporting companies that don’t align with our moral and religious values.
This seems extremely difficult right now, as it seems like most big companies we’ve been using are in support of acts we find to be immoral and wrong.
I’ve been doing my own research, but I would love to hear of some recommendations for some clothing brands or websites that are conservative/pro life/Christian, etc.
If anyone knows any shops or websites they love that fit with any of these categories please let me know! It seems like a lot of the fashion industry and big companies are pro abortion or extreme leftists and I don’t feel right about supporting them, as this is a topic I feel strongly about.
XOXO 🌸💕
Also just a disclaimer, this is my personal choice and beliefs. I’m not going to argue or debate the pro life vs pro choice topic, so if you feel the need to respond with something hateful or something unrelated, I will not be entertaining it or replying to it.
As I have previously suggested : one doesn’t have to clean in one go or even one day. You can do it according to your schedule and abilities. I like to clean my home once a week. We don’t have any small children and most of us are good at cleaning after ourselves.
🌺
So here are a few basic pointers :
The first step is : clearing the clutter. Well obviously, if the area you wish to clean is cluttered, you will have a hard time. Most of the time you will have to just put things in their right place, throw some rubbish and perhaps decide to give away things you no longer need.
Emptying your trash and recycling boxes.
Watering your plants (I’m not big on indoor plants but someone gave me an orchid and watering it when I clean the house makes me remember to actually do it.
Changing your sheets, towels, kitchen towels etc.
Cleaning windows and mirrors with an appropriate method and/or product.
Dusting. I don’t like using chemical products as many in our household are allergic to all kind of things so I just use one of those microfibre type of cloth. Wiping the kitchen walls (we have tiles), counter etc.
Cleaning the toilets, tubs, washbasins, sinks etc.
Now is the time to take our our mighty friend, the vacuum. If you live in area where spiders feel like you are the own encroaching in their territory : don’t forget to take care of webs in the top corners of your rooms. Don’t forget to vacuum your doormat too. Some sofas can be cleaned this way too. And surely many other things that I’m forgetting!
Once your done.... If you have tiles, it’s time to mop the floor. I use a mild washing agent and some essential oil to make it smell better. Be careful when adding things to soap and cleaning agents as you might have an unwanted reaction.
As it’s drying, I like to burn some oud or musk (incense) or boil some water with rosemary. You can also open your windows wide to air the rooms.
A little prayer to purify your home can’t harm.
This is my basic weekly routine. According to how I’m feeling and if I’m busy, I can do it in a few days or in one go. There are other things that I do once a month or once a season or in spring or autumn : things like washing the curtains, deep cleaning the fridge or kitchen cupboards or wardrobe etc.
I’m pretty sure I’ve forgotten something as I do things are they come... But I thought a few basic points could help you to build your own routine.
What about you? How do you go about it?
