I scream into the void a lot about my hatred for the ending of QoAaD, but one thing I absolutely ATE UP is the parallel between Julian saving Emma with the parabatai curse and the infamous trolley problem.
Just for reference: The trolley problem presents the ethical dilemma on whether you’re willing to sacrifice one person for the sake of several by diverting the train to a separate track.
In QoAaD, Emma is dying after being stabbed by Zara. Julian is faced with a choice: let Emma die or allow multiple people to die through the activation of the curse.
Julian chooses to save Emma, and more people are killed because of it. Yet, we as readers, reason that the deaths were simply casualties of war — people would’ve died anyway and also we hate the Cohort (they’re considered villains and thus expendable in our minds).
BUT more people died because of Julian’s choice — a choice he made because HE allowed for Emma to be stabbed when he let go of Zara to face the demon that looked like Annabel. Emma’s near-death experience is a direct consequence of Julian’s actions (much like Livvy’s death). I loved that aspect.
After all that he learned, he still chose Emma over the world. And they face zero actual repercussions for his decision to pull the metaphorical lever. That’s the part I hate.

i think the saddest non death related aos line is in s2 when mack is shitting on jemma for 'abandoning' fitz after he confessed to her and he says something along of the lines of "you know i realized hes worse when youre around" and she responds with "why do you think i left" and macks face just drops
i feel like the best way for agents of shield to appear in the mcu would be in What If…? the possibilities would be endless and i loved all of the episodes of the show so far. so here’s a list of all the scenarios that i’d want to see an episode about:
