So long story: what was originally meant to be a simple repaint spiraled into a full on project; I kept messing up heads, even accidentally destroyed her original body and had to get her new one, it was a disaster (and I got real lazy at times and kept putting her off)

For your mermaid AU, I just thought of octopus Monaca being trained by a kraken Junko. Like, Monaca got little tentacles just like that little octopus from Nemo (I don’t remember his name sorry) and tries to imitate Junko by sinking ships or kidnap sailors, much like a kid wants to put on make up like their mom but fails at it but mom tries to fix it up or just tell them they’re doing great.
Also, Toko as a lion fish because they can change colours much like she can change her personality
