I've been rereading homestuck and I just got to the part where Dave & karkat have that fight over terezi. Like karkat is so in his head about his imaginary relationship with her that he asked Dave to make a polyamory schedule about it! Like dude???? She's not even with you?! I'm rotating him in my brain he's so stupid. And Dave is like ????? I don't feel that way about her??? And karkat doesn't believe him because he thinks he's (himself) in love with her. He's just in love with the idea of being in a relationship!

Don't even get me started on the way he skirts over his possible romantic feelings for Dave in that either. He's like "and terezi can vacillate between red & black for me & you and we can..... Uh whatever...."

I love the idea of the beta trolls as a friend group, they are too many of them, a menace to society, have gotten in horrible fights that would break any normal friend group, they mix as well as soda with mentos

But they are still together and they care for eachother in the most fcked up way possible, they would fight with tooths and nails to help eachother, they are friends.

Headcanon that whenever there are fireworks on the troll kingdom Karkat and Jade get really distressed  (cause Jade’s super dog senses don’t vibe with the noise and to Karkat it sounds like dangerous situations from Alternia) and Dave doesn’t know how to help so he follows along those lists online on how to calm down pets during fireworks

I just think Dave having to take charge of a bad but not dangerous situation unexpectedly has a lot of comedic potential
