
“What do you think?” Katara asked, holding up a mirror so Azula could see her girlfriend’s handiwork. Azula’s topknot was the same as always, but instead of her face framing bangs, the front sections of her hair were pulled into hair loopies, just like Katara’s. Azula’s hair was still choppy, hanging out of the loops in some places where it was too short. Usually her uneven, hacked off hair reminded her of all the horrific things she’d done, but in the loops, it didn’t look as bad. She didn’t look like a fallen villain anymore, just a girl who gave herself a bad haircut, whose girlfriend had helped her fix it.
Azula smiled up at Katara. “I love it.”
