“Only those who do the work get the bread” - not true of material life, of wealth and resources. But it is true in one area - human spirit. Tapping into the human spirit. No matter where you come from; you have to work to get this, and anyone can get it.

And, it’s something that cant be passed on. Each new generation (each person), for example has to learn about love on their own for example. You can receive Ideas about it, but you have to personally experience it to learn it. Also true or faith, which we (modern educated ppl) misunderstand as blind belief without evidence. In general, the point is true of the passions - each generation has to learn them.

So I'm sitting and reading Kierkegaard's Sickness unto death in class and kids keep asking me what it's about. And everytime I try to summarise it, they go, "Oh self help?"

Umm...i guess?? That's one way to put it lol
