a story of bonding moments and stargazing 🔭✨

whenever lance gets especially homesick, he goes to the deck of the castle ship, staring into the night sky full of stars while having the map coran showed him once open, wanting to make sure that one day, they’d get a bit closer to earth

don’t get him wrong, he loves being part of his team (his second family), and loves being the cool sharpshooter, but, he also just misses his home planet, and everything that is just so typical earth.

keith has always loved looking at the stars. as a kid, he used to stargaze with his dad all the time. they would sit out there for hours, looking at the stars while his dad would explain all those different constellations visible on the night sky. when shiro and adam took him in, he sometimes would just sneak out of their garrison room, climbing to the rooftop, just to see the stars.

so, it’s honestly just a matter of time ‘til lance and keith happen to coincidently meet each other at the same place. their rivalry was slowly starting to turn into a genuine friendship, so, after a comfortable silence, they start taking about anything and everything that comes to their minds.

they trust each other with their lives, and have formed a really close bond by now, so, lance decides to tell keith about his family, and why exactly he misses earth so much. at some point, his head falls down on the other boys shoulder, trying to get himself as close as possible to the other. surprisingly, even though he’s not really a peoples person, keith doesn’t seem to mind the close contact, in fact, he wraps his arms around lance upper body, holding the other boy close while gently rubbing down his back, whispering soft words into lance ear.

keith starts telling lance stories about his dad, and about the adventures they had together. some of them are really funny, and lance starts laughing again, slowly starting to feel better, and less homesick. keith just happily smiles, glad that he can share this moment with lance, happy about himself that he was able to slowly start opening up to the other boy.

well, what can he say - lance surely is very special to him, and he’ll make sure, that they all make it back home safe and sound.

2. the plot literally reads like 2017 klance school au ff lmao
