My clothes shop lifting routine
Sharing in case it helps anyone (:
1. Walk into the shop and grab a shopping bag if they have them
2. Walk around casually, check prices on items you like and look for your size and put a few items in your bag, I usually put 8 items or so in my bag. Try not to act weird and just do what you would when you’re usually shopping (: Keep an eye out for if any workers are watching you but not too much that it makes you look paranoid or suspicious
3. Once you have what you want, head to the changing rooms and if an employees busy then just walk straight into a changing room without saying how many items you have, if an employees not busy and asks how many items you have in your basket say you have 2 less than you have. Eg: I have 8 items in my basket so I say I have 6. If you have your clothes in a basket it’s hard to tell how many you actually have, but if the shop your in doesn’t have baskets try to hide/conseal some items in between you hangers, take them off the hangers if you have too
4. Detag with your magnet or tool of choice! Here are some tips for detagging: NEVER leave your magnet or tag on the floor!! Workers can see under the little space in the door/curtain and might be able to see the tag or magnet. Take your shoes off when i’m the changing rooms to make it look less suspicious. Try on the clothes to make sure it fits. Once you have the tags off you can either hide the tag in the changing room somewhere or inside the pocket of clothes you have with you in changing rooms, or you can put the tags in your pocket and then leave the changing rooms or hide the tags in pockets of random clothes in the store. Personally I’d say leaving it in pockets of clothes around the stores and hiding them in changing rooms are your best bet.
5. Put your new items in your bag or under your current clothes. If possible you want to put them under your current clothes, eg wear the underneath your hoodie or even stuff them under some jeans and make it look as not suspicious as possible. But try not to wear hoodies and sweaters if it’s hot weather otherwise you might stand out to LPs and workers. If it’s not possible to conseal the items under your clothes, fold them up as small as possible and put them in your bag.
6. Once you’re ready, leave the store. If you’re worried then walk out past the sensors the same time someone else does. NEVER buy something from a store you’re stealing from, they’ll have your card and info. Plus it’s not really necessary
7. Head to some bathrooms in your mall/shopping centre and put your new clothes into a shopping bag

TIPS ON DISGUISES
1. Blend in: Depending on what stores you want to lift from make sure you blend in. Eg: if you’re going to Urban oufitters maybe wear some cargos and a crop top, whatever’s trendy and what most people are wearing. If you’re into alternative fashion you’re gonna have to dress a bit more basic unfortunately ): And if you’re planning to lift from a more expensive place make sure you look the part too! We’re talking middle class mother of 2 private school type of outfit, you can also look for inspiration on Pinterest
2. Wigs! One of the best ways to hide your identity is to get a wig, you can order one off from amazon but here are some tips when getting a wig. Get a natural colour, and have the colour be a similar colour to your hair. Eg: if you’re blonde get a darker blonde wig, if you have light brown hair get a dark brown wig (make sure they’re a different style to your current hair) The first wig I ordered was black and didn’t match me at all because of my brown eyebrows! So keep your eyebrow colour in consideration unless you’re able to cover it with makeup! Some extra tips for wigs: add baby powder to your wig to make it less shiny, pluck out some hairs on the centre line so it looks more natural, try to get a wig with a fringe or side fringe as it looks better and if everything else fails then wear a hat on top of it
3. Different styles of makeup: Try not to wear your usual style of makeup whilst lifting. If you wear eyeliner a lot then go without it for a day, if you don’t wear eyeliner then wear it for a day, try a different lipstick shade, different highlighting and contour methods etc, natural vs drastic etc.
4. Hide any identifying features: tattoos, birth marks (even if they’re small), scars, piercings, etc. Make sure it’s covered up somehow, with makeup, a mask, etc
5. Make sure you feel comfortable in your disguise: try to feel like yourself a bit, you still want to feel confident so chose a disguise/character that fits you well and if you don’t like to then don’t change too much about yourself/style. Eg: if you’re alternative maybe try a grunge/urban outfitters style, if you’re preppy wear a more posh and sophisticated sort of disguise, etc
6. Add random unique features to your disguise: It’s not super important but stuff like adding a mole on your upper lip and fake piercings can change a lot
7. Do not wear anything that you frequently wear: stuff like a necklace or jewellery you always wear, a unique bag/clothing item, all of them no. Make sure you leave your fav jewellery at home even tho it hurts ):
8. Get into character: I know this sounds weird but I have pinterest boards for my different disguises for inspiration and it actually helps quite a lot, chose what they’re studying at school, or what their job is etc and make yourself feel like someone else. It’s actually quite fun once you get into it (:

Does anyone know if some tags can be stronger than others? The main shop I lift from uses pencil tags, (photos attached) and the other day when I detagged my items some of them came off super easy but one of the tags wouldn’t come off. It was really strange, the item with the tag I couldn’t remove was a more expensive item so that’s maybe why, and my magnet is 12000GS
I really need help!! How strong should the magnet be to remove ink tags?? I ordered one but its 5000GS?? Would that be enough?? This would be my firsttime trying to get clothes i want ^^ so please give me tips/answers, any would help!!

Like, i draw, and my bestie draws, so filling it up with art supplies wouldn’t be weird, right?
