“cats? i’m not going to eat one if that’s what you’re worried about.” they joke, emerging fully from their room to drape themselves across myles’ back. a careful bite to his jaw, claws resting on his stomach, matching the tapping he’s doing to the table. “we had one when i was growing up. she was cute. about the only thing i liked.” admissions have been coming more frequently recently, snippets of their life freely given.
the idea of having to get in a car doesn’t sit well with them, but if myles is offering up his home, they’re endure it. “when were you thinking about going? today? it’ll be nice to see your house after having you freeload here so often...”

And no way is he referring to the whole of Kamar-Taj when he says “our”. Homeboy means he and Stephen spent multiple nights, maybe after poring over multiple books and spells, ranking Ben&Jerry’s ice cream flavors.
Maybe they were out in NY one day, Strange scoffing at a bus or a billboard with the ad for Stark raving hazelnut ice cream. Maybe Wong noticed and decided to buy a tub because, why not. Wizards can have a lil treat, sometimes.
-and I bet Strange is that type of doc who reads all of the nutrition facts and lists all the ways in which ice cream is bad for your health. Wong rolls his eyes and says it's good for the soul.
"Still, I don't like this flavor" insists Strange, just because it's Stark.
They settle on Hulk’s flavor after a particularly bad argument about what can and can’t be fixed with magic that lasts for a whole week. In the end Strange sets down a tub of Hunka Hulk of Burning Fudge, and maybe because they both have a super sweet tooth, maybe because they just want to agree on something and put the fight past them, they agree that it’s their favorite.

i'm reading Junichi Saga's 'Confessions of a Yakuza'! i'm having a kind of a hyperfixation on yakuza culture right now and it's the second book i'm reading on the subject (the first being Shoko Tendo's 'Yakuza Moon' and that one was absolutely magical despite the heaviness of the events described). the book is a bit heavy but i'm learning so much about 20th century Japan so i feel ecstatic reading it

1. book you’ve reread the most times?
Equus! My introduction to it was through a course on psychoanalysis (that I hated) and honestly I didn’t love it at the time but I don’t think I was in the right headspace to hear that story. Also unfortunately for me it’s very hard for me to connect with readings when I know I’m supposed to get something specific from it or analyze it through a certain lense. But something made me pick it up again this year and it absolutely blew my mind and I’ve read in cover to cover 3 times in the past 6 months and I will go back and read certain passages when I feel like I need to hear what it’s saying. Definitely a book that means so much to me.
