now we all know this isn't true, nor does this really make sense in comparison to the canon lore, but I have an au where the reason Hylia wasn't answering when Zelda was praying and the reason she couldn't hear her but Link could... is because she wasn't the goddess descendant. she was the hero. shee had the hero spirit, she was meant to wield the master sword, she was supposed to be the hero of Hyrule, the hylian champion. link could hear Hylia, see Hylia, had a strong connection to Hylia, all because what? he was the goddess descendant. it was a big fucking whoopsie daisy that cost the whole world their lives. AND I still found a way for it to be all Rhoam's fault. he's a fucking liar. according to the goddesses and the Royal advisors and the magic people and all of the fucking oracles and bitches who can see the future the first born child of the previous goddess descendant becomes the new goddess descendant, some random ass knight I suppose fucked his wife got her pregnant that was the first born child of the goddess descendant. Rhoam's plan was to give him to the knight be all like "this your fucking baby this not my baby you deal with this shit get this fucking bastard ass bitch out my fucking castle go on somewhere with your hoe shit" and then he fucked his wife and got her pregnant and she had a beautiful blonde blue-eyed baby girl and they named her Zelda the quadrillionth and fucked right on with their day unbeknownst to the fact that according to prophecy and history and shit like that the first born child of the goddess descendant is the new goddess descendant. ergo that blonde headed baby boy you sent to go live with the cuckoos in bum fuck nowhere is the goddess descendant. how does that make Zelda the hero? because somebody got to be and the two protagonist of the story can't be fucking men. that's sexist.
