If you don’t know our story, very briefly God gave two people who longed for a child our son through the miracle of adoption. To me, even this little toy is a sign of God’s love and power.

My Dear Alex,

Timaeus and Sucrose have just left for lunch and, seeing as I’m unable to do much in their absence, I decided to take a break myself and write you an update letter. I wanted to tell you that research on Dragonspine has been going smoothly and we’re advancing in terms of progress on Project Cecilia. I must add, this name was not chosen by me. Much of this project’s information must be kept confidental, so I’m not at liberty to share much.

When we reunite, I am almost positive it will be finished by then. Once revealed to the public, I can take my time explaining it to you, the concept and the experimentation process and all the failed versions that came before it — though, I doubt you’d be interested in such topics.. if that’s the case, how about we skip that chatter and catch up on something else? I don’t want to bore you.

I apologize for barely sending you anything these days, you know how my work is. Once the workload settles down a bit and I get to see you again.. I promise to make it up to you, my sweetheart, so don’t get upset.

Know that I’ve drawn you countless times in my laboratory, just so I can see you again. Know that I’m always thinking of you. I can’t seem to properly elaborate these feelings or even explain why I feel this way. I suppose it’s because I’m in love with you, isn’t it?
