GREEN 1/21/2022

I’m surrounded green, but if you asked what my favorite color was I would probably black. Green used to be my favorite color when I was a kid, I distinctly remember having a favorite pair of baggy army camo green pants that I got in the boy section of Walmart. I wore those pants so much within the few years I had them, they were became so worn at the bottom they slowly started to turn into “ripped off capris”, 10 year old me would tell my mom trying to convivence her I NEEDED to keep them. Eventually I grew out of them and had to throw them out.  Once I hit middle school I went through an existential crisis, or maybe it was my mom. Either way, I started the first day of middle school with a fresh pair of braces I got put on the DAY BEFORE (you know I was miserable), brand new Abercrombie lowcut shirt in bright blue (I have never worn anything that isn’t from Walmart before this point) and a pair of Old Navy blue jeans with some new shoes. My mom had done me up so much I hadn’t recognized myself. I still wonder what she was thinking doing me like that. I was so completely embarrassed and out of my comfort zone. I went from dressing like a little boy to dressing like a “prep” from my school with braces OVERNIGHT. As an introvert, you can imagine the trauma I faced. But from that point on, to spite my mom of course, my favorite color turned black. Of course my mom wasn’t too upset since she was very into witchy type things and loves black herself. I just wasn’t going to conform her ridicules idea of me wearing anything pink, “preppy”, or lowcut. I was turning a new leaf: emo. I never really truly got out of my “emo” phase, I still love all the music I listened to in my prime years. I now am just trying to find myself in this silly little world. But I realize now, maybe my favorite color really isn’t black and I’m maybe holding a grudge. Maybe my favorite color is green again.

2022 Goals

Happy new year 🎉

We have accomplished another year. Another year with restrictions. Another year with lockdown. Another year with possibilities.

2021 was a hard year but a giving year for me. I graduated from highschool which was amazing. I applied for my dream education at a university and got accepted. I am now an AP computer science student and in the end of January 2022 I have completed 1st semester of my education. 

2022 is a new year. A new year to make new memories. I will show you some of my goals for 2022: 

- My first goal is to accomplish 2nd semester and 3rd semester of my education.

- My second goal is to complete a cycle race in July. 

- My third goal is getting the next belt in Taekwondo (Orange belt). Maybe green belt later in 2022 if we get the opportunity to it. 

- My fourth goal is to get better at handling my mental health. 

- My fifth goal is to hold myself into therapy even when it’s hard.
