Ian watches Mickey alternate throwing their children into the water as each tries to attack him, their daughter’s red curls sticking to her face and a mischievous look in her younger brother’s blue eyes. He knows that Mickey will tire before the kids do and will let them overtake him, but Milkoviches don’t go down without a fuckin fight. Ian considers rescuing his husband, but he’s enjoying the view. As the Mexican sky above him turns pink and white, Ian thinks of their journey: 10 years married, 20 years with the man he’s loved since he was 15 years old.
