9. How did you get into succession?

Hehehe. Okay so of course I knew of the existence of the show for a while. You have to know a couple of things about me first: I'm part of the "don't believe the hype" club (aka I don't watch hype shows, it took me YEARS to watch game of thrones and thinking of the ending... Maybe it would've been better to not have watched it lol) and the Emmys are my Superbowl. So I was kinda "what is this, why are they getting all these nominations, wtf". Combine these two things -- et voila, it took me until Dec 2020 to start watching the show. I did see content on my dash while s3 was airing and sometime during that time I decided to start watching it. I filtered it to not get spoiled, a couple of friends convinced me to actually start watching it, @gallawitchxx played a bigger role in this (I owe you forever). And Nick's basketball video was also a crucial moment for me -- if you know, you know.

dreamland: it was quite a while ago that i had this dream, but in it i was hanging out w/a guy i was friends with in high school and for some reason we were at my old elementary school (which was in ruins btw. no idea why) and we were sitting outside at a picnic table drinking tea together. i think we had a conversation but i dont remember what it was, and we hugged at the end of the dream and it was quite nice 😌

helium: i definitely do! it's nothing grand, really; just to be happy and comfortable with myself, whatever that comfort looks like. it's not a super concrete idea of what i want, like 'i want to live in a house with 3 dogs and a vegetable garden', but...it's more just the want to feel secure and loved. i want to feel at home for once. oh!!! in addition to the more flow-y idea of that, i do think it would be really nice to be an author as that is something i have wanted for a very long time c:

hot sugar: kind of! definitely not as much as i used to as a child, but i do enjoy sweet things every now and then ^-^ i especially like things with fruit, like black forest cakes :o

So we have the Diane/Wolf/Snake thing going on and it's great but Diane and Snake are like, they don't really like each other that much but they're friends at least and they both love Wolf so w/e right they're gonna make it work and for the most part it's just playful jabs and jokes and being vaguely antagonistic yah know

sorry if this is a weird and out of nowhere question but. do you have any tips on how to open up to people? I haven’t been able to connect with people well and anytime i try to plan stuff or talk to people and have conversations they always seem distant or not wanting to talk. I feel rlly locked up and alone and im thinking maybe if i open up to someone i feel close to maybe that could change it idk. ive tried a lot of different things like planning stuff with people and getting stuff for people and etc etc but it just doesn’t work at all, i feel like im just forcing myself into their lives. sorry this is long and rambly i just really dont have anywhere else to turn to rn

hm yeah this is hard :( the only thing i can really say is like if you feel like youre forcing yourself into someones life then its probably not worth expending the energy to be there. if i dont click with someone pretty quickly i usually dont spend much more energy on trying to get close to them because its just not worth it to me when i have relationships with people who i know like *me* and who i dont have to worry about doing a lot of work to get time and attention from.

to find people you click with, just keep trying to make those connections and shake it off when they dont work out, youll spend a lot more time finding your people instead of wasting effort on people who arent returning it
