How do you navigate being a multi shipper in fandom? I multiship to some extent (I ship Drarry, Snarry and Snupin) but I mostly have OTPs.

I don’t really know tbh. I get “EWW YOU SHIP _____??!!🤮” pretty much everyday lmao. I learned to just not care. It’s the same with loving Snape, getting attacked for it, and not caring about their (rubbish) opinions, but with ships instead of characters.

Though it can be pretty hard interacting with your ships’ fandoms. For example: I ship both Dramione and Romione, and when seeing posts about them that aren’t cute headcanons or fanarts, I see the shippers bashing the other ship (Romione shippers bashing Dramione, Dramione shippers bashing Romione), and I get upset about it because I love both ships. And I have to deal with that every single time I interact with this fandom, with all my other ships too, so you can already imagine how exhausting that’s gotta be.

I have OTPs too, anon. Being a multi-shipper doesn’t change that. I’m obsessed with all of the ships I ship, but there are some that I’m abso-fucking-lutely ✨O B S E S S E D✨ with; ships that I’d die for, y’know?

I still try to look for multi-shippers and people who ship two ships where the shippers are against each other, it’s hard but I did manage to find a few. I like finding them rather than one-set OTP shippers whom I know bash other ships (that I obviously love). Multi-shippers are usually very open-minded and respectful and it’s unlikely for them to ship-shame… because they most likely ship it too!

You know the worst part of being a pro-shipper(imo)? Being compared/grouped into rapists, pedophiles, terfs, and racists.
