I noticed the effect of the draining spell in The Owl House reminded be of how the Heart of Etheria negatively affected the Princesses in Destiny p. 2 of She-ra.
An overzealous entity dead set on using a powerful concentration of energy and manipulation to set off a weapon that will destroy everything. The activation of said weapon causing its victims to have their magic life force drained out of them. Paralyzing them as glowing scars crawl up their skin and colorful beams of light shoot up into the sky.

Going through the Owl House tag, Iāve seen some people questioning if the shortened Season 3 (three 45-minute specials, for a total of 135 minutes) is enough time to wrap things up. For reference, some sections of other shows that fit in roughly that timeframe or less:

So, personally, Iām not particularly worried. We do know they had to narrow the scope, which is unfortunate, but even then, thereās talk of trying for supplements like art books to flesh things out further. Thereās a lot you can do in 135 minutes, and I think whatever Collector arc weāve kicked off is one of them.
